Just saw that this was back as a single…and I’m glad because it’s her best song to date
THIS WAS FANTASTIC
This has everything I want from a Baby Keem song: insane production, multiple beat switches, and an absurd amount of personality and energy. Kendrick matches the energy and absolutely kills this as well. The music video is great too and fits the vibe perfectly. This is definitely the best Baby Keem song that I’ve heard, and it has me ridiculously excited for his upcoming project, and also obviously ridiculously excited for whatever Kendrick does next (even though I ... read more
This song is fantastic. The beat is great, Thug brings a lot of energy and personality, and the flows and the hook are ridiculously catchy. If Punk is as good as this and his NPR performance, it has the potential to be Thugger’s best album yet.
Solar Power is not a flashy and attention-demanding return for Lorde, but it is a mature and subtle one, and I think it’s the subtlety and the growth shown that’s really connecting with me. And I’m really glad I like it this much, as I was nervous I’d be disappointed because the early response was not as positive as I’d hoped. But I do really love Solar Power, and it definitely exceeded my expectations.
Despite it being a little long and one-dimensional, this is actually a pretty enjoyable project and probably Trippie’s best project in a while.
In the past I have liked some of Trippie’s music and thought he had potential, but he is usually pretty inconsistent and his recent projects have not been good. But after hearing the two singles for this album, I was fairly excited. “Miss The Rage” with Carti was a much better track, but both were in the same style and I was ... read more
Edit: I cant stop playing this. This is so good. Score moved up from 80 to 85
Edit 2: Almost two months later and this has become my most played album of 2021 lmao. Replay value is insane. Score moved up from a 85 to a 90
On 333, Tinashe shows that she can sound great while doing a variety of different styles, and she provides some solid production, great vocals, and catchy hooks along the way.
I’ve really liked Tinashe’s music for a while now and thought she was was incredibly ... read more
It’s not his best song or anything, but it is really catchy and enjoyable. I love the instrumental, and both Kevin & Ryan Beatty do a good job with it.
While Glaive still shows some potential on this project, the bland songwriting and overproduction cancels out his personality and talent.
I didn’t love “cypress grove”, but I saw Glaive’s potential on that project and really wanted to like his music going forward. I saw what he was doing on that project as a way to bring hyperpop into the mainstream in an interesting way and was excited to see what he would do next. And while this project may be trying very hard to make ... read more
Kings Disease II doesn’t blow me away or anything, but it is pretty great and arguably better than the first one, which is pretty impressive considering how soon this has come out after the first one.
I liked Kings Disease 1 a lot, but it was just a little forgettable. It had solid production from Hit-Boy, some great features, and solid performances from Nas, but I never really found myself returning to it. So news of a second Kings Disease coming out so soon after had me worried. But ... read more
While this didn’t immediately grab me, after multiple listens I can say that I do really like this a lot. It’s really catchy, and I really like what she’s saying in the song. I’m not sure whether I like it more than Solar Power, but it definitely is on that level and has made me even more excited for the album.
I do like the song, but I am pretty disappointed with this one.
I really enjoyed both Lizzo & Cardi B’s last albums, but this song just Isn’t hitting me like their best tracks have. Their personalities basically save this song because it’s really not all that interesting otherwise. The production is pretty solid, and Cardi B has a great verse, but the song just isn’t the smash I hoped it could be
I really hope that this is the version on the album because this is absolutely fantastic
I like this album, but it’s just pretty forgettable and can be kinda boring at times. Isaiah Rashad doesn’t have a super strong presence here and can sometimes sound lifeless. The production is nice though, and there are a lot of highlights, so I do think overall this is an enjoyable project however.
I’m the worlds biggest Tierra Whack stan. I have loved everything she has ever put out and I’m insanely excited for whatever project she puts out next. With that being said, this is probably my least favorite song of hers recently. I like the instrumental, and there are some great ideas here, but the execution is a little messy and repetitive.
I completely understand that this project is being released so Logic can get out of his label deal, but that doesn’t make it any better or change the fact that Bobby Tarantino III is a half-assed throwaway project with some of Logic’s most uninteresting music to date.
After releasing one of his better projects in “No Pressure” and retiring, Logic has quickly come out of retirement and returned with the third installment in the Bobby Tarantino series. And while ... read more
Wow. This definitely exceeded my expectations. I really liked her debut, but in my opinion this is an improvement in almost every aspect. It's more mature and experimental, the production and songwriting are fantastic, and this album has some of her best songs ever.
SILK SONIC PLEASE PUT OUT THE ALBUM IM BEGGING!! THIS IS YET ANOTHER STELLAR SINGLE AND I NEED MORE
When We All Fall Asleep is a very impressive and unique debut album from Billie Eilish. The production from FINNEAS is incredible, and so is the songwriting. The album also has a lot of highlights for me, even if there are some weaker tracks. Nevertheless, I really like how her personality comes through on this album and I think it’s overall a great debut album.
