This is probably my favorite song of the three, as it just has more of a sense of direction. It’s still too long, and is not one of Lana’s better songs, but it’s just a better tune than the other two and is just better executed.
This is a nice sounding song and I do like it, but it is just too long and doesn’t really go anywhere. It just lacks a sense of direction and kinda feels like a step backwards for Lana.
With DR. EV4L, Young Nudy shows why he is one of the more exciting names in trap currently with his murderous yet humorous brand of trap music.
I have enjoyed Young Nudy’s music in the past, and while I thought his collaborative project with Pierre Bourne was a flawed but enjoyable project, I didn’t think his last album was anything more than just decent and I have never really fallen in love with a Young Nudy project. And while this isn’t perfect and still has some flaws, ... read more
Better Mistakes is ok, but it’s one of the more generic pop albums I’ve heard this year. There is really nothing unique or special about this album, and while it might not be terrible and is listenable, it’s not even really doing this style all that well.
Bebe Rexha had never impressed me with her music, but neither had Dua Lipa before her great “Future Nostalgia” record. Because of this and because of some notable features I figured I’d give this a try. ... read more
Nah nah, this isn’t real right? Please tell me I’m imagining the existence of this. Please tell me this is a deranged nightmare and I don’t actually live in a world where this exists and has a 362K like to 14K dislike ratio on YouTube.
I mean, I knew that Tom MacDonald was incapable of making anything listenable, but this one might somehow be his new low. What compelled him to make this song? Why? How did he listen to this, have time to make a video for it, and still think ... read more
This is the song that comes out of the “Generic Accessible Pop Song” generator.
This song is not bad, and it’s certainly not the worst thing that she has put out, but it’s just pretty boring and uninteresting. Really hoping she can come through with more interesting stuff going forward.
We live in an unpredictable world, but it’s good to know that there’s one constant that will never change: every project that Kodak Black releases will be ass.
Before you even press play on a Kodak Black album, you know what you’re gonna get. It will be lazy. It will be boring. It will be low-effort. It will have generic production and sub-par mixing. It will have some all time terrible lyrics, such as “she let me pee in her b-hole”. It will have offensive ... read more
For what it is, a horror movie soundtrack EP, it’s a pretty solid project. It could have been better, and hearing the title track makes me desperately want a fully fleshed out soundtrack full of songs like that, but I’m not mad at this at all.
Edit: this has grown on me a little. 70 to a 75
While this certainly isn’t bad and has some fun moments, The Off-Season just feels like it’s trying too hard to sound like everything else for it to really reach its full potential.
My relationship with J. Cole’s music has changed a lot throughout the years. For a while he was one of my favorite rappers, as 2014 FHD was one of my favorite albums ever. I still love that album and a lot of his other music, but as time went on and ... read more
Be Right Back has some enjoyable songs and I like a lot of what’s on here, but many times it doesn’t feel fully realized and feels like a collection of nice sounding throwaways, which ultimately makes it kinda boring.
I really liked Jorja Smith’s debut album and I thought it was one of the best albums of 2018. I was hoping this would be on that level, but the solid but underwhelming singles didn’t fill me with much hope. And while I do think this is an enjoyable EP, it ... read more
Edit: Ok I can’t stop playing this song lol. 75 to an 80
Edit 2: Yeah this is one of my favorites of the year. 80 to an 85.
The most different single that she has released, and while I like the direction it goes in, I don’t think it’s executed as well as it could be.
“Driver’s License” isn’t my favorite song or anything, and I definitely have my problems with it, but it grew on me quite a bit. However, Olivia’s second single “Deja ... read more
On “Van Weezer”, the band does a complete 180 from the orchestral “Ok Human”, and while I definitely don’t hate it, I don’t really love it either.
My introduction to Weezer was “Ok Human”, which I really enjoyed and think is one of the best albums so far this year. I wanted to go back through their discography and listen to their classics, but I haven’t done so yet, so this is the second full project I’ve heard from Weezer. And while ... read more
I appreciate the themes and the story that this album explores, but it just isn’t as consistent and doesn’t have the highs that 2014 Forest Hills Drive has for me.
While this album does have some great highlights that are some of J. Cole’s best songs ever, such as “Change” and the title track “4 Your Eyez Only”, it also has some of J. Cole’s worst, such as “Foldin Clothes”. And unfortunately in between are some solid but ultimately ... read more
Listening to this album all the way through for the first time in a few years was super nostalgic. Middle school me LOVED this album.
This album will always be special to me because of how important it was to me. I used to love J. Cole and had him in my top 5 artists, but as time has gone on and I’ve been exposed to different and better music, my love for his music has faded. But even if I’m not as big a fan as I once was, I can’t deny that this album is pretty great.

While it’s obviously trying to recreate the success of Lemonade (it doesn’t, it’s just not as good), it’s still a solid melodic trap song with a really catchy hook. But while the instrumental is pretty good and Don Toliver is incapable of missing, Gunna and Uzi don’t really do much on the song and it kinda just ends up feeling like a Don Toliver song.
My first listen to Narrator was one of the craziest first listens I’ve ever had. That song is INSANE and a fucking masterpiece.
While this sound and genre might not be something I’m super knowledgeable about, and it may not be my favorite thing in the world, even I can see how great this is. Some of the songs might be a little too long and drawn out at points, and the vocals may sometimes not be my thing, but I keep finding myself being drawn to this album. The first listen to this ... read more
It’s not amazing and definitely underwhelming as the big anticipated single from Isaiah Rashad, but it’s a solid trap banger that I do enjoy regardless
It’s a decent single that’s ridiculously catchy and sounds nice but ultimately ends up being kinda forgettable.
Adding G-Eazy to ANYTHING is a bad idea, but adding him to an already mediocre song creates one of the worst songs of the year.
I had seen that the original song was charting high, but I had never heard it. I heard the original song for the first time through Fantano the other day though and was immediately unimpressed, and this remix only makes it worse.
