Smino - Luv 4 Rent
Pretty cohesive the whole way through. All the features delivered. and the Highs were really high.
As a complete album, this is phenomenal. Very cohesive, extremely entertaining production, and Kevin always keeping it interesting and never doing anything twice. As a huge fan of Brockhampton the lyrical content really hits home. However I feel that even if you aren’t a fan you can feel the pain from Kevin and you can understand the relationship of the band.

Tracks like Take it Back try to celebrate what they’ve done together. Whole tracks a lot of the other tracks go over the ... read more

<3 One of the greatest rap groups of all time is over. Thank you for everything.
Drake & 21 Savage - Her Loss
This is definitely an album with Drake on it!
All I have to say is, for what it is it's great. Joji is an amazing producer.
While this is nowhere near Brockhampton's usual quality, I do this it's decent. Michigan is a banger, not surprising as Kevin was making good music before this already, while Ben Carson and Infatuation are tracks that provide a sneak peek into the style of Saturation 1. I am a huge fan of Matt Champion and his early style of music so Palace and Home were also highlights for me.

Where it comes short is in the middle with those three shorter tracks. It really losses the pace with those. ... read more

Yves Tumor - The Asymptotical World
Liked this a lot more than I though I would.
I actually love this album. It brought me lots of happiness. I think quality wise its is for sure their best since SAT 3.
BROCKHAMPTON - iridescence
underrated, overhated.
Radiohead - In Rainbows
Bruh. This is my first Radiohead album. I'm scared they won't be able to top this.
Freddie Gibbs - $oul $old $eparately
Four to five really great tracks on here (Dark Hearted being my favourite). However, the tracks don't seem to stray too far from a central sound. Tracks like Space Rabbit and Feel No Pain are exceptions which is why I really enjoyed them. The other tracks aren't bad (except Pain & Strife, boring and not very good) but the production gets boring, especially when Freddie doesn't change his subject matter.
JID - The Forever Story
Amazing sampling.

JID’s rapping and lyrical ability are unquestionably phenomenal.

All the features are great.

Raydar, Dance Now, Can’t Punk Me, Sistanem, and Better Days are my faves.

All the other tracks are great. They just don’t hook me as much and I don’t feel like I’ll return to them as much.

Quality album. Maybe it’ll grow more on further listens.

Rina Sawayama - Hold The Girl
I listen to Rina to escape the mainstream pop sound. Even when she leans into that sound it’s usually done 1000x better than anyone else. With this in mine Hold That Girl was disappointing to me. A lot of these tracks sound like very familiar watered down pop, especially Hurricanes, Forgiveness, and Catch Me In The Air.

The first three tracks are really great, along with Imagining.

Overall, I see this becoming very forgettable :(

Wings - Band on the Run
I am floored after this album. The title track is one of my favourite rock songs of all time, it is infectious from the first listen and I cannot get it out of my head 2 weeks after first listening to it. Other than Mamunia and Picasso I adored all the other tracks, more specifically Mrs. Vandebilt and 19&85. Paul really shows his versatility with his own voice through out the album, while simultaneously making songs that pays homage to older generations and pave the way for music for the ... read more
Willow - WILLOW
Phenomenal, my fave from her. One of her strengths is her ability to display her emotion through her vocals and this album is her best at showcasing that.
A Tribe Called Quest - We Got It from Here... Thank You 4 Your Service
Surprisingly very contemporary, especially on disc 1, disc 2 does find it self finding a bit more old school and personally I found it far less enjoyable. It also helps to mention that I think Kanye West and Kendrick are extremely underutilize on the tracks they feature on in Disc 2. We the People... is for sure my favourite track, it contains the best production the best hook and interesting commentary.

The first 5 tracks are all amazing. While I like Andre's verse on Kids... the rest of the ... read more

Sparks - Kimono My House
The first two tracks are awesome, bursting with energy and uniqueness. However, the rest of the album fails to deliver the immense quality of the first two tracks. It took me about 3 listens to really find distinct feelings for the other 8 tracks, as in my first listen they all sort of blended together. Out of the other songs tracks 3,4,6, and 10 were stand outs. Tracks 7 and 9 felt a bit strange to me.

Overall good album but the glam rock sound gets tiring after a while, when a song gets ... read more

Drake - Views
It’s 2016. My favourite artist is Bruno Mars (still the goat) and besides him I’m mostly listening to top 40. The Heist by Macklemore And the song MAD City by Kendrick up to this point are my only real experiences with Hip-Hop/Rap. Being from Toronto this album Views by Drake comes out and everyone I know is listening. A couple months later on vacation I realized I had no downloaded music on my phone and I guess I was bored with the music I already had, so off the top of my head I ... read more
Drake & Future - What A Time To Be Alive
This duo is great for me because it can be really hard for me to keep interested in full albums by these artists so a 50/50 split is a good marriage. Or so I thought.

As I expected going into this album there are a lot of one note songs here . Big Rings, Diamonds Dancing, Plastic Bag, Change Location, Jumpman. Essentially half the album. I’m so tired of these songs that don’t seem to evolve or try something different until the outro. I will listen to pop if I want ... read more
