The Mars Volta - Octahedron

oh gosh, here we go again. i don't particularly want to go too lengthy on this review just down to the fact i don't really have much to say and artifically stretching it to meet the length of my recent mars volta reviews would be blegh.

'my fathercore' time okay okay. 'octahedron' is certainly (at least up to this point) the furthest that TMV have ventured from their signature sound, which in itself is not a bad thing in theory. i don't think this more psychedelic art rock direction would particularly catch my dad's ear like their manic explosive prog shit though, along with the rest of the core fanbase, and myself. it's alright, decent even, but there is not much to say apart from that.
