I love to see how Phil Collins now takes the full lead and how he influences the band, this is truly a turning point I think because their music went from something truly poetic and psychedelic to a more energic rock 'n' roll style without losing any quality
I like the concept and I think they're more versatile with this album than with the others
Genesis at their peak, the songwriting and the performance is better than everything they done before and after, truly great
Overall there's nothing outstanding in the songwriting and the performance of the members, it's not bad but just really basic
Nothing truly different from a Trick of the Tail but I still like it
I think most of people "like" it because it's Danny Brown and this guy is well known for making experimental music, people would then think "it sounds horrible but it's good because it's experimental", and yes it sounds horrible. Same kind of mentality than wondering if you liked an album AFTER fully listening to it
The first half of it was catchy and energic but then it went super lame and corny all the way, really disappointed I exepected way more from a new Denzel Curry project
Jimi and his colleagues are genius, they mix rock 'n' roll, psychedelism and jazz while keeping the tracklist coherent and consistent, easily their best album
Great chemistry between the members of this supergroup, we find a little bit of Alice in Chains, a little bit of Pearl Jam and a little bit of Screaming Trees mixed together in this great album
Absolutely perfect on every point from start to finish, easily the best experience I had listening to a rap album
Kendrick is going on a completely different direction here with a catchy and more casual style, totally at the opposite of his previous record, and it's pretty solid actually
On one hand, the concept is meaningful, and the highs are really high (Dna, Pride, Duckworth...) but on the other hand the lows are also really low (Loyalty, God, Yah...), there's still more highs than lows so great album
The Montain's base of ideas of songwriting and concept is great but those ideas aren't fully explored, the more we get into the album, the messier it is, I'm not saying it's not inventive (it isn't actually) but I feel like the "band" didn't put too many time or effort into making the music itself, I expected way more from them I can't lie
I really didn't expect Alice in Chains to go so hard on a psychedelic album, gg to them, rip Staley
Raw, energic, depressive, that's what I want to hear in a grunge album
Edit: somebody get that NME guy out of here who tf hired him
Great performance, I think they did way better songwriting later in their career thought
