Tony Hill!!!! i think at least! Love that guy!!!!
What do you even write as a review to this thing? Certainly one of the great early prog records, but I don't quite get it's hype in comparison with other Crimson albums, I think they generally improved from one album to the next in this early incarnation. Defo required listening, but I'd say that about many other Crimson albums, and apart from the immense historical value, there is nothing extraordinary about this one. Mozambique is one of my favorite songs of all time!!! Also listen to Apocalyptic Bore
Far from background music. I think i need to really focus to get it, i mean, i think the songwriting is probably amazing. Musically I don't find it terribly exciting, but I honestly tend to value writing higher.
Introducing Arthur Wilton Brown on voice (vocals) and TEETH!
I don't think this album has anything interesting, but it's not bad either
Someone on X called this the greatest progrock album of all time, and boy... NO! Wrong on several levels.
When i first heard Nightmare (bonus track) i thought this was from some other High Tide, but no! Nothing is left of the original sound of the band.I marked this as an LP, but I really have no clue. Some tracks sound live, perhaps because of the bizarre quality.
It really stands on it's own as a decent album, with a dreamy sound that works quite well. Tony Hill is a very skilled guitarist, and it shows still. He's also written a set of quite good lyrics.
Okay?......... Some cool tracks, but they lack nearly everything that made them one of my favourite bands with their first and second albums. I want to cry, why do they do this to me? Ice Age is clearly the best track here. It all sounds like it was recorded in a dream or something.
I love the Italian language! Very nice to hear them speak and sing. This in particular is a great little album!
