I love the transitions throughout the album. The vocal perfomances and the song writing are really impressive. This record was really enjoyable and the 84 minutes passed by very vividly. The production is outstanding and I feel like every feature just fits in perfectly. The attention to artistry really makes me respect the whole project.
Very groovy and chill tune this should have opened a whole new world of music for me but eversince I first listened to it a couple of months ago I never really got deeper into this Ambient / Spiritual Jazz music. Writing this review really makes me want to check that out. If you have any recommendations I´d greatly appreciate them.
Entertaining and creative way to show us that he can do more than we thought.
Give "Naked" "Dance on the Moon" and "16 Chapels" a try. The Mixtape as a whole was probably good to introduce Travis to the world but it might be his worst. Some tracks I truly enjoyed but as I said the full listen was EHH.
Some solid tracks with decent production supporting them. The rapping is great at times but just not consistent enough sadly. I will listen to his future projects though he certainly shows potential on this project.
KKB really put out an amazing Indie Pop / Synthpop album with this one.
This feels like a poem. The whole album is pure poetry up until track 10 "Winter" afterwards you still have some very beatiful tracks but some of them are really just hard hitting bangers like "Chopper" how the fuck do you go this hard for almost ten minutes straight. AAAAAAA
The produciton on NASIR is outstanding I really like the four track run from "White Label" to "Adam and Eve". The-Dream sounds lovely on these features but it is not great from NAS. With him you expect greatness but this project isn´t very consistent and doesn´t show much of his usual greatness.
As much as I love it when an artist takes time to tell a story or create an atmosphere I really appreciate the shorter albums. I guess that might be kinda what EPs felt when they were more popular. This is a really cohesive piece of art. And it still manages to create a distinct sound despite its short runtime. Pusha T as a rapper is underrated for sure and Kanye West on the production never failed before Vultures. 070 Shake with an incredible feature on my favourtie song on this project. You ... read more
Her best work. Surprised to see the Hip-Hop producer Jack Antonoff on here though.
Lackluster project. Some of the features are GREAT some of them are really EHH. I think some of these artits need someone to tell them that sometimes it is better to leave something out and keeps some things shorter. Because this tracklist has some bangers like "Pressured Up" and "One of Them Ones" (apart from the Rob49 feature) and "Parking Lot". But some of the tracks are very unnecessary and meciocre. That being said I still really enjoyed some of the songs.
Solid R&B project. Good production from Ye but really but Teyana Taylor just has a voice to her wich you can´t reall ignore. "Rose in Harlem" is my favourtie project.
Not very convincing as a whole project and a full listen. There are some tracks on this that have some quality to them. "KISSES MAKE SURE (feat. James Blake, Young Thug)" aswell as "CR@SH (feat. Travis Scott)" and "Neat Freak". Are very much enjoyable and maintain a refreshing sound in my opinion. But sadly the project is rather bland and boring as a whole. Also a lot of rappers without a unique sound or good amount of creativity seem to suffer from these lenghty ... read more
Groovy and very enjoyable album. I think the songs are very well made and the whole album just has a very interesting sound. "2F 年轻人" the last track really just presents the amount of joy and hapiness the two groups felt making this project. It always gets a smile on my face. "Young Man" is a very great song I really can not help but dance to it. My favourite are probably "Kite War" and "Y". Also the cover is great and fits the overall vibe. The ... read more
You should checkout the album and the "turning the tables" interview they did. MAVI seems like a warmhearted person and they way he talks about his craft is really fascinating and even inspiring. The produciton on this album seems very chohesive and well put-together. I am looking forward to checking out his other projects in the near future. The lyricism is great and the whole project delivers a very sad and melancholy sound whilst sprinkling in bits of hope inbetween. Amazing Album, ... read more
I like the little skits and bits of story throughout makes for a unique listening experience. I must say some of the tracks individually become a bit weird to listen to because almost every track has some sort of dialogue contributing to the big story. But the first listen was amazing. Would love to see more of that. Interesting production throughout the whole album and solid rapping from Logic on most of the tracks. As I said some of the skits become rough to listen to on the second or third ... read more
Some amazing tracks on this album. Definitely will be remembered as something huge because of the aftermath of the "Like That" track. Also "Claustrophobic" is unterrated.
