Once a harbinger of industrial rage, Trent Reznor's albums now whimpers with a dull roar. Contentment has dulled the Nine Inch Nails edge, resulting in a tired and subdued beast. The once-ferocious roar has been replaced by muted meows, and the angst-ridden crooning of "Find My Way" fails to mask the album's lackluster sound. "All Time Low" aspires to be Kraftwerk but settles for a mediocre imitation of Blancmange.
'Hesitation Marks' is a far cry from the groundbreaking work that once defined Nine Inch Nails and is destined to be nothing more than a footnote in their fine career. - An She
