Unfortunately, Little Dark Age is nothing more than a half-baked comeback album almost completely overshadowed by When You Die and drenched in synths. It's an exhausting listen, especially since half of the tracks sound like throwaway tracks that could have been replaced with something a bit more engaging. There's nothing here to write home about, and that's why Little Dark Age deserves such a low rating.

Hey Babe is nostalgic girly pop rock with an underlying theme of self-loathing and self-pity. It's through these surprisingly consistent arrangements of conflicting atmospheres that the album surpasses its contemporaries.

Start Packing starts off unfavorably, slowly building itself up with minimalist guitar instrumentals. However, what started out as an impression of what was to come quickly deteriorated as the band drastically undergoes a transformative process that explores several different rock genres without sacrificing its engaging songwriting or memorability.

Under the supposed genre of rock in opposition "characterized by great complexity in writing and an avant-garde take on contemporary classical music" in which they themselves founded and several European groups followed. Unrest is easily one of their greatest works and certainly their most impressive. Like most of their projects, Unrest is an amalgamation of rock, jazz, and classical music. Only, it emphasizes free improvisation more than any of their other works. Unlike In Praise Of ... read more

After multiple decades of dumping his back catalogue and flooding the market, Kontinuum was supposedly his return to form. Unfortunately, Kontinuum is a bit of a mess. It starts favorably with "Sequenzer (From 70 To 07)" which is as close to a "return to form" as Kontinuum gets. The next track, "Euro Caravan", is essentially generic eastern chanting layered over slogging synthesizers, which progressively becomes more interesting over time; though it only ever ... read more

Interesting that you brought this up, and I understand why. By the way, I'm not depressed and I might as well change it. I put this profile picture because of some Lorde / Reviewbrah shitposts of mine on Twitter.

Also, I guess we stand in literally the same spot on Siouxsie.

Yes, great personality there. Loved a few specific points where he just blends that idyosincrasy with grand orchestral bits. Can't say I loved the whole thing as of now, but it might just be a grower.
