Television is a really fun laid-back hip hop album. My favorite part of this album has to be the use of guitars and distorted vocals that add a layer of creativity that might have just been seen as an average project.

With this being the number one album of 2019 right now I think that might have messed up my expectations. Honestly, with my first listen I just didn't understand why people were praising this album. But then I decided to give it another listen and I have to say I don't know what I was doing giving this a 50. Shure, it's still not the greatest album of the year for me. But I have to say are a lot of highlights on this album.

A fantastic mix of jazz and electronica. This is an extremely entertaining EP. It's really just something you have to listen to understand.

This was a very personal album for Boogie and it shows in the quality of this album. Each song lets you see into his life a bit a time and seeing his struggles had an effect on me. It's 100% a mod album but it's definitely worth a listen.

Best song: Soho
Worst song: Whose Fault

For the most part, this album hits on every note. The majority of the songs here are fun and funky. But at other times can be repetitive and kinda boring but that really only applies to two songs. The others are just what I was looking for in synth funk.

Best song: Freelance
Worst song: Miss Me

Spending Eternity In A Japanese Convenience Store is just a fun listen. Everything that that forests have to say has definitely been said before but the way they deliver each song is really something else. With strange references and an energetic production you really can't go wrong with this emo-rock album.

Best song: Kawaii Hawaii
Worst song: How's Leaving Coming Along?

This is a really fun EP that sounds like the late 80s or early 90s garage rock. A lot of the songs give off this I don't care what you think of me vibe that works really well with the singer's voice. Each song is just a good time I really wish that this was a full LP.

Best song: King Of The Dudes
Worst song: Fear City

God this is one hell of a listen. From the interesting production to the amazing raping Malibu Ken is just an amazing album. Each song has a moment of hold on what is actually going on. Not to say that it's hard to understand. This album has its own identity everything just seems so different. Honestly, it's refreshing to see actual would be described as experimental.

Best song: 1+1=13

The mixing of traditional instruments and electronic noises makes for an interesting and thought provoking experience while listing to this album. But the only thing is I think that some of the songs could be a bit shorter because hearing the same notes over and over with nothing changing for a while just kills it for me. I need something there to keep me invested. Thankfully most of the songs don't have this problem.

Best song: Imbalance
Worst song: Conditional Futures

Lorena Dale's Wicked Ways is one of the smoothest albums I have heard in a long time. Everything she says hits so hard because of her amazing voice mixed with an equally amazing instrumental that complements her so well. The only downside is if you break down the songs they are just love/break up songs. But I would say it's still worth a listen

Best song: Cocaine Skins
Worst song: Replaceable You

The album starts so strong with the song Down That River a haunting track about a storm approaching. But sadly after that, it quickly evolves into a boring album that has a strange obsession with talking about rivers. I really don't have much to say it's just a boring album that does sound nice at times but overall is just boring

Seeing an artist go back and remix their own album is kinda strange to me but that's what Allie X did with here album Super Sunset. Not to say that doing that is a bad thing I feel that it can give life back into an album if it was overlooked the first time. But does this album succeed in bring the able into the spotlight? I honestly don't know because I feel like it would be even more overlooked because someone thought it would be a good idea to release the album on the 1st of January. Which I ... read more

This album reminds me a lot of those premade gaming playlists you would see on Spotify. Which is definitely not a bad thing. It's just that almost every song seems similar to me and all of them have the purpose of just pumping you up. Lyrical wise there is definitely something there but really the messages just get drowned out when each song sounds the same. Not to say that all the songs are bad or boring it's just repetitive. Overall it's an alright album if you want to get hyped for ... read more
