What an incredible album. The songwriting and production are amazing, and the amount of emotion put into this album can be felt with each song.
This is my first time listening to Phoebe Bridgers and I must say… this album is great. I went into this album with very high expectations and Phoebe did not let me down. Can't wait to listen to 'Punisher'.
This is the first time I have ever listened to Lexie Liu and to be honest, I am not sure why I decided to give this listen album since her music is not something I would usually listen to. The beginning of this album was not my cup of tea, but I really enjoyed the songs from 'MAGICIAN' to 'Bad Dream' a lot. This album was very enjoyable and I am happy that I decided to give Lexie's music a try.
With what is my favorite album of the 2010s, Frank Ocean delivers this masterpiece of an album just a day after his visual album 'Endless'. 'Blonde' or 'Blond', is a beautiful R&B album that tops his 2012 release 'Channel Orange', which is an amazing album in its own right. Frank Ocean's 'Blonde' brings out the best and worst out of Frank Ocean. 'Blonde' is a mix of beautiful production, melodies, and vocals, yet it encapsulates Frank's pain and shows Frank's vulnerability. Blonde is one ... read more
The best and final mixtape in 'Trilogy'. The cover of Michael Jackson's 'Dirty Diana' was a wonderful way to start the mixtape and Abel's vocal performances throughout the mixtape were otherworldly. Abel has cemented himself as one of the best R&B singers our this generation and does not seem to show any signs of slowing down.
Very strong vocal performances as usual from Baekhyun. "All I Got" and "Bambi" showcase his vocals to the extreme with a plethora of high notes and runs, and "Cry For Love" is the best song in his discography and one of the best Kpop songs I have ever heard. Hopefully he maintains these types of performances in his next project.
Red Velvet has shown once again why they are one of the best girl groups in all of Kpop. With some of the best group vocals in Kpop, Red Velvet used that to their advantage to create a great album. However, just like in previous albums and this pretty much goes for nearly every Kpop group, there is no need to rap if you do not have a good rapper. I love Red Velvet but most of the time, their rapping worsens a song and feels forced. I do not know why all Kpop groups feel the need to rap, but it ... read more
Metro Boomin really made it boom. He assembled the Avengers of trap music and brought in an amazing vocal performance from The Weeknd on top of that. Metro is what DJ Khaled thinks he is. I personally wish there was more of a variety when it came to the features because songs like "Lock On Me" fell flat due to having the same exact vibe as the previous Travis Scott tracks: "Raindrops" and "Niagara Falls". This project and its rollout were incredible and I am ... read more
Erykah Badu, Anderson .Paak, Tablo, Mahalia, Colde and parkjiyoon had amazing performances on this album. Unfortunately, most of the features outperformed RM. RM's singing skills were not the greatest, but his rapping made up for it for the most part. "Change pt.2" is by far the worst song on the album, but I respect that he experimented and took a risk with it. I personally wish he took more risks on this album because most of of the songs sound very similar or have a very similar ... read more
