Jesus fucking christ. This album is dark as hell
I thought Thin Black Duke was dark and weird, but this is on a completely new level. The Narcotic Story is yet another album that caught my attention. I just saw the album title and was interested in hearing what the album was about. I was curious to see if there was actually going to be a story about narcotics. While I can't say for sure that there is a cohesive story, I can say that this album is extremely dark and disturbing. As I was getting ... read more
Since both Blur and Oxbow are releasing an album this Friday, I thought it would only make sense to listen to some of their albums to prepare myself. I have already listened to Blur, but I haven't listened to much Oxbow, other than a few tracks, which really caught my ears. And let me tell ya'll, I had no idea what I was in for.
Thin Black Duke was one of the albums I listened to that really caught my attention. Everything about this album feels dark, painful, and dirty. The instrumentation ... read more
Original Review: Classic! This album not only inspired rappers themselves, but also using younger pictures of themselves on album covers.
400 followers is insane! No matter how many followers I have, it is still a suprise when I reach a new milestone. I can't thank ya'll enough for following me and liking my reviews. I have been slowing down on my review lately, but it's mostly because I want to have some time to myself and not force myself to put out reviews. Still, it makes me happy where ... read more
GUYS HELP ME!! I TOOK A PUFF OF SCARING THE HOES AND I CAN'T STOOOOOOOOOP!!!!!!
While this DLC pack and just a couple of leftover tracks, that doesn't mean they're low quality or unfinished, far from it. This pack has some amazing songs that are just as good as the original SCARING THE HOES. The production is still amazing and chaotic. I also feel like Danny has more of a presence on this DLC than on SCARING THE HOES, and I love that. The samples on this DLC are fantastic as well. It makes me ... read more
Memory Lame is an album that is both weird and youthful. While there aren't many lyrics on this album, G?G! do a great job at using the instrumental to tell a story. There are so many great heavy and light moments, like on the track Hug of Death, where it changes up many times. The first few minutes are heavy, with these fast drums that are bouncy, and guitar and bass that just sound amazing. Then, on the 3 minute mark, the track becomes spacy and reverby, and then it immediately becomes heavy ... read more
Shout out to @BruhMan for making this song :)
Damn, Perfect Timing is really good. I absolutely love the production on this song. It's super jazzy, and I actually enjoy the dirty feeling of the song. Souza is also fantastic on this song. He perfectly matches the energy of the track, sounding like it's his time to shine, and his lyrics are great, too. My only complaint is that I wish Souza's vocals were made brought up. They're kind of muted and are difficult to hear. But overall, Perfect ... read more
Do ya'll ever have those albums that make wonder what the fuck did you listen to? For me, this is one of those albums
I was very excited when I got to I'll Try Living Like This. I have listened to a couple of tracks from this album, which freaked me out. But I was so drawn to this sound from dds that I decided to check out their entire discography. Once I got to this album, I knew what I was going to get into, but at the same time, I didn't. And WOW! I'll Try Living Like This is weird as fuck, ... read more
While Heavy Black Heart isn't dds' best record, this is still a pretty damn good album. It's definitely way more experimental and weird, but dds pull it off and give us an album that makes me feel like I'm on 10 different drugs. There are so many tracks on this album that are just glithed the fuck out and random, one of those tracks being Nothing Like This World. The production on this track is trippy as hell, and then it literally stops halfway. I honestly thought my ... read more
Whenever people talk about dds, the albums that are brought up the most are I'll Try Living Like This, Faith in Persona, and Darklife. Even some of my mutuals on Twitter say that Faith in Persona is peak, which got me hyped to listen to this album. And unsurprisingly, I was not disappointed. While Faith in Persona is as weird as dds' other albums, this album is a lot more pop heavy, which makes sense because most of the sample used on this album were from pop artists like Ariana Grande and ... read more
Shout out to @BruhMan and @RemiReviews for making this song :)
I had to give this song a couple of more listens to see how I feel about it, and here are my thoughts. The production on this track is pretty decent, but it's kind of basic because it sounds like something Linkin Park, or any 2000s rock band, would've done. I'm also not the biggest fan of ReMark's vocals. They do fit the track, but they're not something I particularly enjoy. And the chorus on this song doesn't help either. It ... read more
While this album didn't really have to be over an hour long, it makes up for this long time length with its amazing and insane production. The sound of this album is more harsh than After Angel, but it's also softer. The first track, Stay, already shows us this harsh and soft sound dds is going for. The beat on this track is fast-paced, and the vocal chops on this track add to the mind twisting feeling. Then, the track suddenly changes into an anglic and euphoric track. I thought this was a ... read more
I've been interested in listening to dds after hearing a couple of songs from them, one of them being Just to be Needed. The weirdness of that song really pulled me into their sound. While I was thinking where to start in their career, I heard that they were releasing a new album this year. So with that, I decided to start with After Angel. And HOLY SHIT is this so good! The production on this album is fucking amazing. It takes me into a world that is digital, dreamy, and angelic. I ... read more
Swans Deep Dive #16: The Finale
We've reached the end of the entire Swans discography. I'm honestly sad that I've reached the end, but I'm so happy that I gave Swans the time they deserved. They gave me albums that had left a huge impact on me, which is pretty rare when you're listening to a new artist for the first time. They gave me some of the most terrifying, dark, beautiful albums I have ever listened to. But it's the end of the road for Swans, and they finish my deep dive with a ... read more
Swans Deep Dive #15
I think it's impossible to follow the amazing and perfect trilogy Swans created. However, leaving meaning. is still a great album that does offer great moments. leaving meaning sees Swans going back to their folk roots, which they did before on albums like White Light from the Mouth of Infinity and Love of Life. I do remember in an interview that Michael didn't really like WLFTMOF because it used too much reverb. Although, he said he did like the orchestration on that ... read more
Swans Deep Dive #14
The Glowing Man is Swans' final installment in their amazing trilogy, and BOY does it finish it off with a bang. Seeing the progression is such a sight to behold. The Seer starts the trilogy in a dark and menacing way. Then next is To Be Kind, where it goes for a more heavy sound. Lastly, The Glowing Man ends everything off with transcendental bliss. It's an album that sounds very different from everything before it, but it ties everything together in a perfect way. I love ... read more

YOUR NAME IS FUCK!!
I'm speechless. Like I'm genuinely speechless. I knew To Be Kind was a highly rated album from not only Fantano but also from the overall music community. I didn't want to go in biased and expect something mind-blowing, but I knew I was in for a ride. And HOLY FUCKING SHIT!! To Be Kind is one of the greatest albums I have EVER listened to. This album has the most heaviest moments from Swans, but it also has some of the most beautiful and spiritual ... read more

Seer? I hardly know her π... please laugh... please, I beg you
As you could probably tell, The Seer was my first Swans album that I have ever listened to. I was interested in not only the band itself but also the album cover, and reading about the album made my relisten of the album a lot more interesting. I started to understand the album a lot more and became more appreciative of the whole sound of ... read more
Shout out to @Brando for making this song. Also, happy birthday, Brando!! π₯³
Devil Dance is definitely an improvement from Famous. While Famous was a cool song, the samples didn't really mesh well together. On Devil Dance, however, that is not a problem. A lot of the samples used on this song create a creepy song that I really enjoy. I will say that I really hate Speedin Bullet 2 Heaven, but the samples used from that album actually work nicely on this song. It adds a creepy atmosphere to ... read more

SWANS IS REBORN
My Father Will Guide Me Up a Rope to the Sky is Swans going back to their rock roots, only this time it's a little more digestible. While it doesn't reach the same high points like Soundtracks For The Blind, MFWGMUARTTS is still a great album that has some thrilling and amazing songs. No Words/No Thoughts is a great opener, with Swans basically telling us that they still got it, even after 2 decades of no new music. My Birth is an amazing song that has so ... read more
Swans Deep Dive #10
I'm not joking when I say that I don't know what to say about this album. I was genuinely stumped on what to write. Even right now, I can't really express my thoughts on this album. Soundtracks For The Blind may be one of the best albums I have ever heard. It's horrifying. It's chilling. It's bone nerving. It's amazing. I really did not expect to hear something that really fucked up your head and thoughts, but this album did it. It left me shocked and even traumatized. This ... read more
