Ben Bronson - i shouldn't be sharing this
70

Shout out to @belennon77 for creating such an amazing EP :)

I decided to check this EP out since I followed Ben on Twitter. And god damn was this amazing to listen to. The first track alone sent chills down my spine. This entire EP sounds lonely, like someone's calling for help. Even though I wish a few of the tracks were worked on a little more, the overall experience is amazing and sad to listen to. I got the feeling of quietness from someone who's trying to scream. Overall, i ... read more

Swans - Los Angeles: City of Death
80

While this song is a little weaker than Paradise is Mine, the song still creates a dark atmosphere that is amazing. The vocals are also unsettling, which makes the song a little darker. Overall, this is still a great song that has me hyped for the new record

Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin IV
100

I know that it's easy to say that this album is classic. At the time of not listening to Led Zeppelin, I didn't know why people called this album a classic. Know I do. From the instrumentation to the lyrics, Led Zeppelin have really mastered their formula on the final album in the Led Zeppelin series. I knew from the album cover that there was going to be a change in sound, and I was right. While the band do keep their signature style, their approach on rock is completely different. Even though ... read more

J4ckk - the j4ckk beat tape
60

Thank you @Big_stanker for showing me this tape :)

While there isn't anything that's crazy, there are definitely some cool ideas. I kind of wish some of these ideas were worked on for a little more, but for the most part, there's some great production and beats that go hard. I would've liked this tape a little more if there was a JPEGMAFIA type beat. Overall, a few of these songs were actually pretty cool. If your friends older brother works on his songs a little longer, he can create ... read more

Souza - Ya'll Don’t Know
90

HOLY SHIT! I fucking LOVE this song!

First, I want to start with the sample. It absolutely fits with the sound and theme of the song, just being someone who's being themselves to make it, something everyone can't be. Also, the lyrics are amazing. There isn't anything too complex, but there are definitely some gems throughout this song. Overall, this song is great, and I can't wait to hear more from you BruhMan. Also, happy late birthday :)

Run The Jewels - RTJ4
90

Original Review: Killer Mike and El-P have never dropped the ball when working together. Heavy production and well written lyrics about the system we must live by.

To be honest, my original review already summed up my thoughts on this amazing album. Oh well, I'll try to give this album a better review

RTJ4 might be one of the best hip-hop albums of the 2020s. Everything about this album is close to perfect, and ,sadly, the timing is as well. On this album, Killer Mike and El-P balance the ... read more

Run The Jewels - Run The Jewels 3
80

Original Review: Finally, a good political album

RTJ3 is probably their most low-key album. The production isn't as heavy as their previous records. Instead, it sounds more modern and has a digital sound to it. However, that doesn't affect this album in a negative way. In fact, it makes sense. What Killer Mike and El-P talk about on this album is something that revolves around politics, murder, and the prison system. And because the theme is more serious, that's what makes the production fit. ... read more

Run The Jewels - Run The Jewels 2
90

Original Review: Hard hitting and catchy. Killer Mike and El-P show off their talents of rapping and production.

Fuck the intro

In just one year, Killer Mike and El-P evolve their sound to become more focused and hungry. Each track sees the duo have flows that sound like a beast is killing their prey, just being vicious with each line they spit. The production also improved significantly on this album, sounding more heavy while also not doing too much and mixing in some heavy and light ... read more

Run The Jewels - Run The Jewels
80

Original Review: Probably my least favorite album from RTJ

It's funny how I say it's my least favorite RTJ album, and I gave it an 8/10

Run The Jewels is an iconic hip-hop duo, them being Killer Mike and El-P. Unlike most hip-hop duos, where there is usually one member doing the rapping and the other doing only the production, both Mike and El-P have a strong presence on this debut album. The production by El-P is fantastic, with it having this dark and hard feeling to it that sounds ... read more

Beyoncé & Kendrick Lamar - AMERICA HAS A PROBLEM
90

Yo, this song goes hard as fuck. Kendrick has a amazing flow and Beyoncé has such a confident presence throughout this track. An amazing remix

Kendrick Lamar - Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers
90

Original Review: This album is suppose to make you uncomfortable. This album isn't for his fans, but instead for himself. This album is a therapy session for Kendrick to see where things went wrong in his life.
Original Review: 8/10

Much like this album, there are 2 ways people people feel about this record. One half believe the wait was worth it and think that this album is Kendrick's best. The other half believe that this album wasn't worth the time and think that this album is either mid or ... read more

KAYTRAMINÉ - KAYTRAMINÉ
60

You know, I wasn't really expecting anything crazy. But at the end of the album, I was pleased with the record. While there are certainly some weak moments through this album, something that saves the record is the production. KAYTRANADA does an amazing job at making a chill and summer atmosphere with the beats he produces, which is best noticeable on the track Rebuke. Aminé, for me personally, is the weakest part of this album. While he doesn't really do anything bad, he just doesn't ... read more

Kendrick Lamar - DAMN.
80

Original Review: This is not Kendrick's best album, but he still delivers a performance that is unmatched with most rappers in the game right now.

Where I hear someone say damn, I associate that with someone going through something shocking or surprising. It can be someone getting shot. It can be someone making it in the music industry. It can also be someone finding out that they are the greatest rapper alive because of coincidence. To me, that's what DAMN. is. It's an album that's based ... read more

King Krule - If Only It Was Warmth
90

This track is amazing. It feels like someone is begging for comfort or forgiveness, with production that feels cold and warm at the same time. Now I'm hyped for this new album

Kendrick Lamar - untitled unmastered.
80

Original Review: For an album named untitled unmastered, these songs feel like masterpieces to me.

While this album is just supposed to be a few demos and leftovers, to me, it feels more than that. Every track on here is amazingly produced, with very hypnotizing, jazzy, and funky instrumentals that combine the sounds of good kid, m.A.A.d city and To Pimp A Butterfly. Even if the lyrics aren't cohesive through the whole record, Kendrick's penmanship is still fantastic, with it ... read more

Kendrick Lamar - good kid, m.A.A.d city
100

Original Review: A story that captures the lifestyle of Compton. An absolute classic.

I honestly don't know what to say about this album that hasn't been said before. Everything about this album is perfect. From the story, production, and lyrics, everything on this album is near flawless. Not only that, but Kendrick's presence on this album is something to discuss. Throughout this whole record, Kendrick is able to convey different types of emotions, whether it's on a song ... read more

Kendrick Lamar - Section.80
80

Original Review: Although not as skillful as todays Kendrick, young Kendrick showed potential as a rapper and MC.
Original Score: 7/10

Let me get the negatives of this album out the way. One, some of the hooks on this album have aged poorly, especially on songs like No Makeup. Two, Kendrick's flow isn't always good. Most of the time, he doesn't sound confident in himself and has a hard time finding his own voice. With that being said, I started to become more appreciative of Section.80. It's ... read more

KAYTRAMINÉ - REBUKE
90

I wasn't going to review any of the tracks that were released, but I had to do this one

This song is such a fantastic listen. The production is amazing, adding this reminiscing melancholic feeling to it during the summer, and aminé's singing is actually quite beautiful. This song has me excited for the new album and what it has to offer

Navy Blue - Ways of Knowing
80

Original Score: 6/10

I decided to give this album a relisten since I only listened to it one time, which is unfair. While I'm still not head over heels for this album, I appreciate the much slower tempo way more than I did before. Not only that, but since I actually paid attention to the lyrics, I finally realized how vulnerable Navy Blue was on this album. From talking about family and losing someone close to you, it's sad how much I overlooked because this album is way more honest ... read more

Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp a Butterfly
100

Original Review: This is an album that can never be replicated, which says a lot. This is Kendrick's Illmatic. Every little detail in this record adds to the overall experience. This is truly a masterpiece.

We did it again. 300 FOLLOWERS! Again, thank ya'll so much for helping me reach this milestone. I feel like I don't deserve this, but thank you so much. I'm glad to be part of a community that I can share my interests with. To celebrate this, I wanted to review an album that wasn't given ... read more
