Anime it opened for: King's Raid

I know i sprinkled a bunch of non japanese stuff in my list, but I'd never thought I'd get one so soon, much less the only Korean one. Well, whatever. And honestly, i don't really find myself super duper impressed, with Dreamcatcher, because there's always this nagging at the back of my head like "there's an alt idol group that did it better". Eclipse having breakbeat? akugi and Kaqriyoterror have catchier more electronicky tracks. No More goes kinda hard? MIscast chugs, Broken By the Scream is literal deathcore, and hell, Passcode can go harder than that track. Don't Light My Fire uses a piano? Shingeki, and Desurabbits fuse metal, and jazz sometimes.
Its cool that there are instrumentals though, that's something that caters to people who don't like idol vocals, so more power to the group.

And yeah, dreamcatcher is kinda unique, as they're a k pop group that does this kinda stuff, that can even fall under the alternative idol scene, which is heavily centralized in Japan, but they don't really musically reinvent the wheel, in that scene, they're just, kinda fine. And that's kind of the musical scene my standpoint comes from, so i'm sorry i can't praise this for being something unique sounding.

To be honest, I have no interest in watching an anime that ties in to a korean gacha game, for the sake of the review, so I just watched the OP. And it's fine, i guess. Standard tie in stuff, nothing worth writing home about. Eclipse definitely does fit standard shonen anime opening, and if you're getting a korean group to make an OP, Dreamcatcher's probably your best bet.
