it astounds me that the band produced this album by themselves because I've never heard an album that sounds this nice on the ears, songs like All I Need and Videotape build up these fantastic atmospheres that send you to another world, Raadiohead build these galaxies within their music, unexplainable feelings like when 'Jigsaw Falling Into Place' reaches its climax.

I feel this would’ve been a far more enjoyable album if this had been less mainstream and all around more energy from Alex Turner

Even when their are good melodic catchy choruses Alex sounds dead. He doesn’t sound interested. Songs like “Do I Wanna Know” “I Wanna Be Yours” and “I Want It All” have these anthemic choruses just delivered in a boring manner that leads me to be bored.
