1. the guitar work is full of personality and overall catchiness. The first song begins with a lovely melody on the guitar and the latter half having possible the most simple but effective bass line to have ever blessed my ears. To the chorus having some awesome guitar riff as well. My personal favourite example is the chords on 'Someday' these vibrant, nostalgic chords just sending us all back to simpler times, this whole album is filled with incredible simplicities, these two chords set a beautiful base for this incredible song. Some other cool riffs are found on the songs: 'Alone, Together', 'Soma' and 'Take It Or Leave It'

2. The vocals of Julian is so legendary on this album, the distortion, the emotion. it keeps you engaged throughout the whole album while he randomly uses different inflections, like in ''The Modern Age' and flat out belting and strain on 'New York City Cops' where he sounds like he is pushing himself to his vocal boundaries.

3. There Is a lot more to dissect in this album but I am going to point out how fucking awesome and catchy these choruses are. Track after track I was blown away at how there isn't a bad chorus on this entire project. they all get stuck in your head in minutes. My personal favourite is in 'The Modern Age' where instead of having a drop he lowers it down leading to this more relaxed melody, which leaves me to feel as if i am floating on clouds.

In conclusion, this is one of the best garage rock albums i have ever heard, alongside the Arctic Monkeys debut, who, surprise surprise, were HEAVILY inspired from this album. listen to it
