I enjoyed Fever for its funny bars and Megan’s flows and while this EP has those here and there, it’s very average for the most part.
Boring, generic, and annoying. Everything I don’t enjoy about Uzi’s music is at its worst here.
I'm feeling... a 10
But it all seriousness, while SB2H is indeed horrible, I can kind of respect the heart that Cudi put into this album. It has couple moments that seem pretty heartfelt, but that's about it. It's boring, it's laughably bad, and it's just insanity in music form (and not in a good way). Don't get me started on the Beavis and Butthead skits lmao
The production is soooo good but the rapping is pretty unnecessary tbh. If it was just instrumentals I would enjoy this a lot more.
While Dedicated has its fair share of sweet hooks and production, it doesn’t quite capture the magic of Emotion.
After going back and listening to Archy’s past work, I can confirm that this album is great and his best album yet.
I finally got around to listening to this record and I don’t really get the hype. I typically only hear about Dopesmoker when people are talking about really long songs since the first of the two tracks on this album is over an hour long. Maybe it’s that I'm not the most knowledgeable/biggest fan of drone metal as a whole (I love Boris though).
The hour long “Dopesmoker” title track grabbed my attention at first, but couldn’t keep me engaged throughout its ... read more
Tbh this album starts off pretty good. I certainly wanted to enjoy it more than I did, but yeah HNDRXX is really bad. Apparently there’s a group of people that call this Future’s best album... how? It kind of reminds me of those Weeknd fans that Stan Kiss Land. Back to the album, HNDRXX has two main problems.
The first problem is the obvious one, the vocals. Future is not a very good singer and HNDRXX features some of his worst vocal performances ever. The hooks on Use Me and ... read more
So after Danse Manatee, an album I absolutely despised and Hollindagain, a pretty boring and unappealing live album, Animal Collective returns with a folk-ier album, Campfire Songs. Campfire Songs, while still featuring some questionable mixing, is actually a pretty beautiful album with its acoustic guitar riffs and some quality vocal performances from Avey. My biggest problem with the album is that the tracks are all pretty long and all sound pretty similar. I doubt this is one of Animal ... read more
I wanted to be able to defend this album but I just can’t.
When I started listening to AnCo’s discography, Spirit They're Gone, Spirit They’ve Vanished was an album that was like nothing I had ever heard. It had random glitchy sounds everywhere and odd mixing. However, these seemed like artistic decisions done to make a more creative and striking album. Spirit is how you do a weird album right. An incredible debut album.
But their very next album, Danse Manatee... is ... read more
