Furry recommended this album to me, said it sounded like wetdream. Gave it a listen. Something about emo and slacker rock activates a neuron in my brain that whispers to me, “you will listen to this, and you are going to like it,” and I more than often do enjoy it. Just give me noisy guitars, good vocals, and a bunch of energy, and I’ll be very happy. Now there are times on here that slow down a little bit, like in raphaim, but I honestly like the toned-down segments here because the whole rest of the album is all up in your face (in a good way). A part of me wants to put this album as a 90+, but I can’t shake off the fact there are three interludes every other song halfway through. In my opinion, it drags my enjoyment out a little bit, but I do enjoy winterbed’s interlude. If a night at her dorm and clock were replaced/remade into an extra song or two, I could definitely see this in the 90’s, but I sadly can’t get myself to do that. Still a really good album though, don’t get me wrong.
