Kid Cudi - Speedin' Bullet 2 Heaven
Sep 8, 2018
NR
Now I know that this album gets a lot of hate but for me, it's actually one of my personal favorites if I'm being honest. I just love the raw emotion that Cudi gives on Speedin’ Bullet 2 Heaven. The entire album is stripped down from the typical spacy and viby instrumentals and beats we are accustomed to throughout his discography. It has a very rough and ugly sound to it that really emphasizes the darkness and agony that Cudi was going through on this project. The songs on here for the most part are pretty much suicide poems which can be unsettling for some and the album is surely not for everyone, but if you're willing to go on this dark and eerie journey with Cudi, it's an amazing experience.

I do actually enjoy a few tracks - Judgemental Cunt and the last two tracks - first two tracks are listenable too. Definitely more misses than hits for me but I have to admire the insanity of it a little, more so than an album which is generic filler from front to back.
