A forlorn mystique draws me into the world of amaii's in the eleventh hour. It's sparse, harrowing and abstract. This projects a tough pill to swallow. It's presented in a very idiosyncratic way, it's still very amaii but it's built of many miniature segments and pieces of songs that coalesce into one greater experience. "The sky is alive with thunder"
An interesting release from a new underground UK post punk/jazz rock outfit, I somewhat knew what I was getting but was surprised! This is an interesting ep with a concept about a storm in a town torn about by a war from what I can pick up. The ep reminds me a lot of contemporaries in the UK post punk scene but this eps a lot more grand and textured than a lot of what their contemporaries do. The glow pt 2 is a miserable album that has no light in it, I leave the album a hollow shell and shaken deep to my core. It starts with light then ends with nothing, quite literally. The album ends with 7 minutes of static and ambience. I don't know what this album means, I don't know what it is, I leave with more questions than answers. It is liminal, cold and draining.
