such a vulnerable album. townes' voice is simultaneously gritty and angelic, the instrumentation is consistently beautiful, and his talent as a songwriter is undeniable. each song is a uniquely sophisticated blend of melancholy, cynicism, humor and hope. townes had a firm grasp on the complicated beauty of existence and it shows. one of one!!
