Back in early March when I heard this thing, I didn't really expect it to become one of my favorite albums, but really everything about Teen of Denial is just straight uo amazing. I love Will's powerful vocals and the instrumentals are also INSANE. Other than that there's not really much to say, like this album is just plain amazing. Listen if you can!!

Yesterday, my dad sent me the song "Head in the Ceiling Fan" by the band Title Fight. I had never heard of them before, so like all intelligent people would do, I looked them up on AOTY. Upon seeing the high score of this song, my ears had already been blessed. Immediately after hearing this song, I decided to listen to the full album. Although not everything lived up to the quality of that one song, Floral Green just felt special. Not necessarily quality wise, but it feels like ... read more

Record 8: VOLCANIC BIRD ENEMY AND THE VOICED CONCERN - @YAYAYIFunnies
Js realized i forgot to review this uhhh
I actually enjoyed this album a lot. When I first heard HEADBOARD, I was in love with it due to it's distorted vocals, catchy melodies, and synthy production. I remember always thinking of LUG as an underground Memphis rapper, but I haven't heard any of his other stuff, so imagine my surprise when I'm presented with an alternative ... read more
Don't feel like reviewing this one, so i'll say kinda boring, really cool production, but overall disappointing.

Record 7: Bloom - @markocean2334
This album is the AC/DC discography of albums.
Listening to Bloom was as follows:
"Hey man this song is pretty good"
"This one's also good, but a lil similar"
"This is good I guess, but really fucking similar to the others"
"JESUS FUCK IT'S ONE SONG"
I mean, it's not bad at all. I just wish they made more than one song.

Prolly my hottest take...
MF DOOM was an insanely talented rapper and lyricist, who created projects such as "MM... FOOD" that I still listen to a lot. He puts put quality consistently, and this album is no different. Pretty much every song on Madvillainy is an objectively fantastic song. Madlib is also one of the greatest producers of all time, and his style goes immaculately with DOOM's rapping on this project. Speaking of which, the lyricism is off the charts on this one, ... read more

Record 6: Velocity: Design: Comfort. @eddian80
What the fuck they put in this shit?!
Some of the most brain-tingling music i've ever heard lands on Sweet Trip's 2003 sophomore LP, Velocity : Design : Comfort. And it lives up to it's name. There is Velocity with fast paced tracks like Tekka, Design in beautiful shoegaze infused tracks like Chocolate Matter, and Comfort in calm and slow, but pretty tracks like For All The Dancers. It's one of ... read more

Record 5: Plastic Death - @sdAce
Not much to say about this one, just a really amazing indie rock album. It has some really awesome moments on songs like motions and commatose that sometimes have me rethinking my life (they sound AWESOME), but the sound does get redundant at times. If this album was an EP that was about a third of the length, it would be near perfect, but many of the tracks on here are forgettable. Great, but forgettable. Overall, I heavily ... read more

EDIT: 99---->100, after sitting with it for about a month and a half it's easily one of the best albums i've ever heard. Might even surpass Twin Fantasy, it's just so good.
I had to sit with this one for a little while. I didn't know what to give it. I mean, I knew from the first listen that it was one of the best albums i've ever heard, I was just so unsure what to think of it.

This man doesn't miss with his recommendations. Pretty much everything igi has given me has been fire, and this album is no different.
Turn on the Bright Lights by Interpol is an album that perfectly fits my taste. I just absolutely adore the sound of this record, it's one of the best first listens i've ever had. Everything about this album is just good. I love the indie sound of all the guitars on ... read more

Ryan has always given me good recommendations, and actually recommended the first album I ever reviewed; Purple Rain.
While I didn't love this one as much as his other recs, I still think this album is downright incredible.
I was never going to rate this higher than an 85. I'm not a big fan of Abstract Hip-Hop (I gave madvillainy a 7 😭), but the pure skill in Del's rapping is not something to overlook. ... read more

Welcome to a new series, which is pretty self explanatory if you look at the name.
I remember my dad playing 2 Minutes To Midnight for me a while ago, which is pretty much my only memory of this album prior to ESB recommending it. Thank god he did, because this is one of the most surprisingly incredible albums i've ever heard.

yeah i may be overreacting but idc this shit slaps so unfathomably hard. this is the weirdest, most energetic, crackfest of an album and i fucking love it. this album feels like 4 random guys get hooked on every drug in the world and entered the studio. also i love the themes in this album, we love protesting!!!!

Lauryn Hill's ability to fuse Hip-Hop and R&B is unmatched. With smooth hooks and amazing singing performances, she brings us arguably the most iconic debut album of all time. While I wasn't as crazy about this album as many others are, it still holds a place in my most replayed albums of the past few months, and I don't see that title dropping anytime soon. Everything is so unique and memorable that it's hard to skip a song on this album. If I had to pick one song, it ... read more

I can appreciate 100 gecs for doing what they do. I can see the talent in these songs. I can see the catchiness. But i'm sorry, this just sounds like absolute dogshit.

In honor of Vanisher, Horizon Scraper coming out, i figured I would relisten to Quadeca's 2022 release of I Didn't Mean To Haunt You, where my opinions changed much less than I thought they would. I have always thought this album was fantastic, but here I got a chance to really listen and it is much more than I thought it was, while also being less due to prior recency bias. There isn't much to say about this album, other than it's instrumentally grand ... read more
