Back in 1980 I sneered at The Vapors referring to them as a "crappy powerpop band". Fast forward back to today and now in my 60's, I think this is marvellous and a breath of musical fresh air to counter the dross that is music today.
It's taken a few listens, but I've come to really like this album. 👍
A couple of my favourite songs covered on this album so how could I not like it?
Putting aside the previous classic offerings from Linkin Park, and concentrating specifically on From Zero, I wasn't too impressed at first hearing.
Half a dozen plays later and I absolutely love it.
Lyrically excellent, musically too but his vocal style becomes a little monotonous over the full album
I usually only comment on preferred genres as I believe to do otherwise is unfair to the artist. Unless, ofc, it's particularly good.
I chose to listen to this LP simply because of the terrible reviews, thinking "It can't be that bad". It is.
Gets better with multiple listens. Still mostly unexciting though. (I kept nodding off)
Not as good as their first album but better than the disappointing second.
Old style rock album. Singing rather than growling or screaming. It'll never be classed as a classic but I don't care, I've enjoyed listening to it this afternoon
It's Johnny Cash. Easy listening and harmonious. Lyrically lacking a punch as his latter day religious themes dominate but, you know, it's Johnny Cash and I could stream this all day.
