'Good kid from a m.A.A.d city, no minivan'
DJ Scheme teams up with his close collaborators, Cordae and Ski Mask the Slump God, for his lead single to his debut album, 'FAMILY'. The vocals from both of them are more vicious than I've ever heard them sound before, with the chemistry being wonderful too. The production was pretty disappointing as it seemed to take the backseat and allow Codae and Ski to take center stage and shine, until the very ending. The lyrics were above average with a catchy chorus, some amazing references from Cordae, and a satisfying verse from Ski with a spectacular flow. I'm surprised that this single didn't get much attention, but I suggest that you check it out as the two rappers surely did their job. Overall, 'Soda' is a stunning single to promote DJ Scheme's album with decent performances from the features, but with some disappointing production.
