I can't remember why but I rated this 70 before... I think it might be because the album was sooo long. Well, someday I'll relisten and maybe re-rate it...
The sounds are amazing on this one. After listenin' to this album, I checked rest of his discography but this album is something special and it stands out for me among all others. His style is very ethnical, authentic and chilly. The vocals, singings and writings are pretty good on this one too. This album, front to back, giving me vibes but Flava stands out for me. It's such an underrated song. I love how the beat goes and builds up. I discovered this album in 2022 and Flava was one of the ... read more
One of my fav Bob Marley albums. Many would be talking about the timeless, huge hit of Could You Be Loved but my personal fav would be Pimper's Paradise. Another classic album.
Probaly the weakest link in the very strong discography of Bob Marley. Still, gems like So Much Trouble In The World stands out and
Judging by the musicality and listening experience, this is the best pac album easily. Beats, rhythms and melodies on songs like All About U, Skandalouz, California Love are uncomparable to his previous work in terms of musical pleasure. Amazing classic.
Pac always had some problems to talk about with the politics, with justice, with life itself etc. And as intreguing his content always was, I always felt like he lacked in the musicality. Beats and mixings weren't always crisp and clear, his deliveries and flows weren't always pleasing to the ear as BIGs' were but in this one, musicality was perfect too. Dear Mama and So Many Tears are 2 of my fav tracks here. What a classic!
Maybe the best work he has done. Looking back to this after 6 years, I can still remember and willingly bump some songs by it and the album as a whole actually aged pretty well. This time it's not just an album to bump your head to for once and then forget but instead to remember and come back from time to time to check back and relisten...
Something about Aya Nakamura, almost every song sounds the same but her songs are so easy to listen to, so much fun that the album kinda fluent. This album is easy to dance or just chill to. Full of positive vibes. Nothing to make me wanna check back listen to it as a whole again though.
I have no idea why people didn't like this one much. Maybe funky tunes are out of fashion nowadays but to me they were always timeless and enjoyable. I'm thankful Harris is still integrates funk into his modern dance music. Sure, it wasn't as flashy and wholesome as the first installement of the series but still a very enjoyable, solid work.
I loved the album. It kinda threw me a curve with the whole radical, authentic musical arrangements. Not sure how it will age but it was definitely a musical statement by Beyonce.
Nice for what it was expected to be. I mean I don't listen to 2 chainz to hear what he has to say about anything. The guy has the ear for nice beats and rhytmic deliveries. That's all. Not anything to listen to front to back but rather a list of songs with nice beats to bump your head to without overthinking on it. Enjoyable but nothing special really.
I loved this album. Escapism is one of the best songs out in 2022, definitely one to remember for some time. It's an album you can listen to start to finish which is rare nowadays.
