I know Nine Vicious gets a ton of hate online, but I'm fairly confident he's going to blow up in the next few years. This album is pretty bloated which dragged down my score quite a bit, but when his songs hit they hit. I thought the B4EM EP was a lot more focused and consistent, but Nine has a ton of potential and can make some amazing tracks. Honestly hadn't heard any of Lil Shine's stuff before this, kinda tragic it's right before he got locked up but at least he left us with this heavenly album.
I think that the rollout for this project and discussion I've seen online have showcased an increasingly annoying trend, particularly in the underground scene (both with the fans and the artists). I get artists have been gassing up their own work since the beginning of time, but there are way too many people in the underground who get huge egos after making 1 or 2 good projects and then start talking like they are reinventing the genre.
