Eminem at a strange, yet crucial, point in his career. This album, while being really important i think for Em himself, just is really painful. I tried to like this album for its almost horrorcore subject matter and heavy topics, but I don't think this is a good project... I know this is everyone’s attack on the album, but the accents... The accents are awful. They're so consistent through the album that they're almost inescapable. I also think it's the way his voice is in Relapse like I ... read more
This man called his debut Greatest Hits. I think that shows how legendary he really is.
I have big respect for Animal Collective, but this is so pointless...
Edit: better than I remember.
Idk why, but I never really understood why people love Lupe’s early work. Sure, he’s got bars, but I feel like he barely changed his flow and had some awful production choices. I enjoy five songs from TC, those being, Superstar, Little Weapon, Gotta Eat, Put You On Game and Fighters. The rest imo are bad tracks. Lupe barely switches up and it just really bores me, making this long album even longer.
My favorite track is Fighters, I think he can ... read more
I don't know how to really criticize music that means a lot to me and Lil Boat is exactly that. This tape reminds me of the year 2017, I know it was released in 2016, but I wasn't that good at getting round to new music back them. Alongside another album that you may know I rate quite highly, Stoney, songs from this project are playing in every memory I have from that year. Idk if you care, but these projects played when new people entered my life, old people left and when I was happy.

Weird / experimental / industrial / abstract does not always equal good...
RIP a legend. 3 years ago today.
This is my second listen to this album and the lyricism is honestly amazing. Imo Sean was top 5 lyricists oat and it's sad that he can't make any more music.
Really disappointing effort after her being the standout in her group.. Barely any highlights
This is the type of 90s rap I can get behind. The atmosphere so calm and their flows sound so perfect. My favorite from the trio is probably Mecca, I think she hard af. I'd describe this as like prime time Atcq but a bit better.
Aight, so this doesn't have the absolute best MGMT songs, but imo they're all still great. I have this as the best MGMT project because it's their most consistent body of work
Edit: I realized how much I enjoy OS and now this is my second favorite MGMT project.
four tracks here that wasn't on OS and they're four pretty good songs. I could see them replacing some of the second half of that album with these tracks and it would be just as good.
The songwriting is, at times, questionable, but for the most part, this project is really really nice. It's chilled, its really easy to listen to and it is what a dream pop album should be.
personal, lyrical and the production is great. My problems here lies in the replay value and the odd wack verse. Still, a good rap album and I'll probably go back to it a few more times this year.
The instrumentation is mostly amazing with decent vocals, but the lack of length and the samey sound prevent it from getting a score any higher.
