Happy Orchestra is the most recent release from EDM producer Waterflame, on this release Waterflame goes for a more laid back less electronic-sounding product and focuses more on the instrumentation and a pretty different sound from his norm a lot of the time, with songs like Pink Spring and Toy Soldiers Orchestral I get that vibe a lot, and then there's In Between the Clouds which feels more like a soothing and calm song, but then there are songs like Queen's Garden that change up the sound to something more elegant.
The first 2 tracks felt a bit boring compared to the later ones honestly, the rest of them were some really fun ones that are out of the usual Waterflame style of electronics, I could tell that some of there were Waterflame, but others sounded foreign, but that is not a bad thing. The album does fit neatly together in its transition between genres and different sounds, I prefer the more electronic sounds of his previous work but this one is very good too, especially the song In Between the Clouds, that song is genuienly 10/10 perfection, it feels incredibly melancholic and works very well in the middle of the album.
Overall this release was very fun to listen to, and I enjoyed it a lot. There were moments on it that felt either out of place or a bit boring. Also was there really a need for a piano mix of Carefree, it sounds identical to the original version, it didn't feel necessary to this album and feels like it would make re-listenability worse when listening to the album by itself in order.
