Ugly Season

There were a lot of aspects that I liked about this project, but I felt like there was nothing tangible to tie it all together. Overall, there were some great tracks and I loved the amount of experimentation that Perfume Genius explores in this album. There was a lot of atmosphere bringing the unsettling feeling to life, and a lot of character in the vocals to synthesize with those crawling instrumentals. Could not help but to think that Perfume Genius has more to the table and they held back during this release.
