Jesus Is King is good but mostly misses the mark. The sound engineering teeters on flawless, having a few rough patches but overall being a pleasing listen. However, the overall production—despite being typically great—makes use of some odd beat selection considering the subject matter at hand (songs like “On God” come to mind).
