Sam Smith and Afrobeat do not go hand-in-hand.
The Reyez “gimmegimmegimmegimmegimme” refrain might be the most annoying thing I’ve heard all month. Smith’s “cum… over ;)” line might be the worst lyric I’ve heard uttered in ages. The 20 seconds of genuine Afrobeat on “Gimme” is the only redeemable quality, and even then it’s fairly bland.
This single is nothing but a listless beat under less than mindless performances. Please don’t give us anymore.

I hate when non-afrobeat artists try to make an afrobeat song, makes it sound shitty which gets less people into the amazing genre :(
