I can not overstate just how excited I am for a full-length boygenius project, and of the three new singles, “Emily I’m Sorry” likely justifies that excitement best. It’s otherworldly and engineered to crisp perfection.

Phoebe, Lucy and Julien making music together has to be one of the luckiest things to happen to music lovers in recent memory. If ‘the record’ has work even half as strong as “Me & My Dog” from 2018’s EP, we’re in for one of the greatest albums of 2023.
