Only talking about the new deluxe tracks, 1-11.

I'm a big Killy fan, but this album does not hit like his better releases, Surrender Your Soul, and Light Path 8. He didn't really add anything to the beats, sadly, and by themselves are at times nice, but nothing special overall. After a while it gets a bit repetitive to listen to them, and Killy seems to have settled on a specific flow, and ran with it for the entire release so a lot of the tracks start to feel very much the same. I'm not sure ... read more

An album that really surprised me. I didn't enjoy Aquarius, and I felt Joyride was one of the worst albums I listened to in 2018, so I didn't even bother to listen to Songs For You. I came into this was the idea that it'd just be another generic album in which I would struggle to get to the end. Boy was I wrong.

The fact that the only tracks I didn't like were the two shortest, one you can barely call a song, meant that almost every song was enjoyable to good. I felt the production, and the ... read more

My first time listening to SAULT and I can say that I'm pleased. They offer a much needed look into not just London gang culture, but the gang culture that many people growing up in poor areas have likely experienced. Light in Your Hands stands out for me because I can relate to everything that is being said about growing up in world like that. So, I'll start this off by saying I've been a fan of Annie's for at around 11 years now. Strange Mercy, and Marry Me are great albums, and in my opinion, her best two. She has always been experimental from the very beginning, and that's what drew me to her in Marry Me. The songs don't quite neatly fit into any boxes, and she executes on her version of pop, but it feels like she's thrown lyricism, production, and generally making songs that fit her voice, out of the window, for aesthetic only. ... read more

I always find myself coming back to this album, because of the great thematic world that he manages to suck you into. Anyone who went through that period in their late teens to early 20's, of going to house parties or birthday parties that served the same function, can relate to the songs and the feelings that they bring out. We all know that period of our lives was one where we had a lot of social awkwardness, whether we knew it or not. The subtle feeling of never being completely sure about ... read more
