Pusha might have one of the most underrated hook games in rap. It is so nice to have them back man.
The production is amazing (ofc) and the features all hit hard (Pharrell is funny idc). This will be really hard to top this year or the rest of the decade, this will be considered a classic by then.
The run Boldy has been on the past few years will be looked back as an all timer. He just doesn't miss. I've seen some people complain that a lot of his songs sound the same but when they sound this good does that really matter? Bro found his pocket and is the best within it, let bro cook.
Blush made me realize I haven't reviewed this yet. The times I cried to this in high school are innumerable. It's so peak and I won't hear anything else.
I really liked the features on this. In general not as good as their older work but still pretty good.
It's just really tight indie pop with some... Darkish tones idk how to explain what I mean rn cuz I'm Hella tired but idk it's good I liked it a lot during college.
Man this album never gets old for me. I will probably still be listening to it when I'm 50 (assuming I live that long).
The lyrics aren't anything crazy but the tone and instrumentation is damn near perfect. I love this band so much <3
Edit: 87 -> 93
I don't know if I just don't like the mix or what but every song sounds hollow. It's fine on the slower more pop songs but when they try to dial it up it feels flat. I do really like the middle point of Sunshower though.
Unfortunate cuz I fucking love their last album, this one just doesn't have the juice.
I love you Cameron. Thank you for taking your KU shirt off in Lawrence, Kansas on October 7, 2022 only to reveal a Hooters shirt.
I have been putting this off because its a BCNR album and when it came out I was nowhere near the right headspace for what my expectations were... I wish I would have at least tried one song because this feels like a phoenix rising from ashes. While the lyrics are not too different the atmosphere is day to Isaacs night.
Kinda crazy this doesn't have more than 100 reviews. Its fantastic.
Probably his best work that I've gotten around to. I hate that things didn't work with EXO but I am forever gonna ignore that drama and just enjoy the music.
We're better as friends :)
Ngl I fucking love Then the Morning Comes more than All Star. This has some real bangers.
Not aged the greatest. Kinda bland. "Norma Jean copycats" idk if I agree with that but my homie does lmfao
Edit: 76 -> 70
Bro shout out to @daltdisney cuz this is amazing.
It is so pure to its roots and authentic, intimate, and it fucks. Amazing Emo.
