she did an incredible throwback song. i just don't enjoy songs like these in the first place. it feels one note and stagnant but its quite charming!
She is saying fucking anything and I fucking love it
Charli xcx doesn't care. After her breakout album "BRAT," an album about being human, stacked to the brim with electronic beats, acid-techno, 808s and heavy bass, shes decided to go back to the beginning with her newest album, a soundtrack for the currently-being-critically-panned Emerald Fennel movie ' "Wuthering Heights" .' Thank god the album isnt getting the same kind of attention the movie is though. The soundtrack, "Wuthering Heights" is a ... read more
Joji's new era showed some promise. "PIXELATED KISSES" was unlike anything he had ever done. Sounding like a B-side off of Jane Remover's Revengeseekerz, it was a Rage song that showed great promise. "Past Won't Leave My Bed was another single that gave me hope. A great indie-rock, alt-pop song which was the direction I was hoping Joji would go in. Its sadly not the case on "Piss In The Wind." I had always thought Joji was someone who had much potential, ... read more
Madison Beer's music proves to be as boring as ever with the release of her new album "locket." There's nothing too damning about Madison's 3rd try at making something artistically interesting, but the inoffensive songs leave much to be desired. When I listen to music, I want to connect with the artist at their emotional level, to process how their maturity and age has affected their perception of what they are singing about, but when you have lines like "I know ... read more
well it is a song with potential but i have a bone to pick with it... or maybe many bones. The quaity of the voice recording is just not it im sorry oomf + the fact its off beat at times. The fact that you are trying to emulate ethel cain's vocals just doesn't work well with the layers of autotune... sleepy tone doesn't really go well with a song trying to be this emotionally heavy. the production is incredibly one-note, it doesn't really get interesting at all. the lyrics ... read more
A$AP ROCKY seems to prove that he is a jack of all trades and a master of none on his new album after 8 years. You know what, to wait 8 whole years for your favourite artist to put out something this subpar is truly sad. I wouldn't say that the album definitely doesn't have its moments. It definitely shines on songs like "HELICOPTER", "STOLE YA FLOW", "STFU", "PUNK ROCKY" and "DONT BE DUMB/TRIP BABY," but other moments are particularly ... read more
FKA twigs' "EUSEXUA Afterglow" may be the most overlooked album of 2026; not that much commercial acclaim, overshadowed by twigs' prequel to this one, "EUSEXUA", and released at the end of the year. And it deserves so much more attention. We see FKA twigs utilise UK Garage beats to their best potential, which paired with her silky, ethereal vocals and experimental R&B, turns each song into an electrifying perfprmancr of EDM. Although her songwriting isnt as ... read more
"I can't give everything away", David Bowie sings on the closing track of "Blackstar." The song came out 2 days before David Bowie passed away from liver cancer at the age of 69. How poetic. Blackstar is supposed to be this intricately curated personal send off album that Bowie wrote when he found out he had cancer, a personal statement about mortality, a look back at his life his legacy. Blackstar does exactly that, right down to the bone, and does it do it ... read more
There's no denying that The Velvet Underground & Nico's self-titled is a classic, but you can deny that it's a masterpiece. The 1967 Art and Experimental Rock album has always topped many "Best Albums of All Time" lists by publications like Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, Stereomag, and it is revolutionary for its time, but I still think the quality of the music has more value than the impact of it. Don't get me wrong, there are excellent Art Rock songs on this ... read more
