A. G. Cook - 7G
65

I mean jesus christ. Let me go through each section.

SECTION ONE: A.G. DRUMS: 89
Easily easily easily the best section on this thing, it's not even close. I love his take on breakcore and nearly every song here is really neat.
Top song: Silver
SECTION TWO: A.G GUITAR: 42
Wow I don't care at all.
Top song: Lil Song
SECTION THREE: A.G. SUPERSAW: 73
This is like probably the most trademark PC Music section of them all, and I enjoy it! I think it has some really nice tunes. Would listen again. Not ... read more

Rina Sawayama - SAWAYAMA
66

Sorry... this is my least favourite rina project. Still some nice stuff but meh. Rina and HTG outsell.

Pearly Drops - Call For Help
67

It has some interesting sounds, but it sort of falls to the wayside of "forgettable indie" to me. But I can see why some people would love it. Final Form is my personal favourite, because it sounds the most unique on the album to me.

Eightiesheadachetape - For a While
68

It's nice, it doesn't stick out too much because it feels a bit like a discount sewerslvt for the most part but I think this artist really has a good chance at coming into a unique style on breakcore and jungle drum if they stick with more unique sounding things such as "what we did in the desert"
TOP 3 SONGS: what we did in the desert, bowling alley, fifty thousand ones and zeroes

70

This breakcore album features two of Sewerslvt's absolute magnum opus songs, and then the rest is Just Fine.
TOP 3 SONGS: Lexapro Delirium, Mr. Kill Myself, ....................... Slowdeath

galen tipton - goddexx
83

This is like if alvin and the chipmunks went into hyperpop and just experimental music in general.
TOP 3 SONGS: courageous grieving, butterfly drinking blood, elf fetish

Sufjan Stevens - The Ascension
70

I really don't have much to say about this album at all go look at another review
TOP 3 SONGS: Make Me An Offer You Cannot Refuse, Death Star, Tell Me You Love Me

70

This album is kind of funny because the majority of it I dont care about except two songs which are absolute fucking 10/10's and are beautiful ethereal masterpieces. Trinity as an album is way way better, but those two songs make up 2/3 of my all time favourite eartheater songs.
TOP 3 SONGS: Volcano, How To Fight , ............................... Below The Clavicle

Nosaj Thing - No Mind
64

It's alright. Not special in any ways. But not really bad.

Oneohtrix Point Never - Magic Oneohtrix Point Never
70

This one is funny to me because honestly, most of the album I don't care about much at all. But then those top 3 songs, HIT man they just HIT and 2 of them are top 5 of his discography for me. But the rest... meh! I guess those 3 tracks can bring this up to a 70 then.
TOP 3 SONGS: Long Road Home, Lost But Never Alone, No Nightmares

TOKiMONSTA - Oasis Nocturno
71

It's far from her best work, but regardless it's still pretty nice. She has MUCH better, she has much worse, idk. That leaves me slightly disappointed because Lune Rouge is such a fucking gem, and this doesnt come close to the energy there, but ah well, still a handful of songs I enjoy!
TOP 3 SONGS: For My Eternal, Oh Dream My Treasure | House Of Dal | Love That Never

CocoRosie - Put The Shine On
76

I think this album is very nice. It's got that same whimsical vibe CocoRosie has on all of their albums. I think this is probably the most "mainstream oriented" of all of the ones I've heard, but it doesn't fault for it.
TOP 3 SONGS: Burning Down The House, High Road, Mercy

Photay - Waking Hours
76

I don't have much to say about this album, but it's really nice. I like it. Not super mind blowing, but it doesn't have to be.
TOP 3 SONGS: The People, Pressure, Warmth In The Coldest Acre

The Avalanches - We Will Always Love You
78

Would I get hatecrimed if I said this was my favourite avalanches album? Probably, but whatever, this is my favourite avalanches album. I'm rarely particularly interested in this kind of sound, but this album manages to captivate me in a way I can't quite describe. It definitely feels bloated though, there's a lot that I dont like or care for at all. But the hits really hit.
TOP 3 SONGS: Running Red Lights, Wherever You Go, Interstellar Love

Ecco2k - PXE
65

It's intriguing. But not exceptional.

IAMX - Machinate
34

I love instrumental stuff but this was, quite frankly, not it.

Nosaj Thing - Continua
50

This was probably the most disappointing album in 2022 for me. I just got next to nothing out of it. The only song I felt inclined to come back to was Condition and I think that might just because I'm a fan of Toro y Moi. There's just nothing that really sets it apart for me at all.

3l3d3p - PLYGRND
62

Meh. I dont get much out of this, sorry.

Rina Sawayama - Hold the Girl
72

I see a lot of people that hate on this one but honestly I think it's pretty brilliant, and holds some of my favourite Rina songs ever.
TOP 3 SONGS: Your Age, This Hell, Imagining

Pogo - Cosmoluxe
67

It was. Fine. Strangerous is an absolute banger, which definitely helped my ranking. But everything else is mid.

"absolutely stellar review"
On Sega Bodega - Dennis
"Yeah exactly. In Sega's music, he tends to embrace a really feminine side of being a man through both the production and the lyrics, which is much more typical of LGBT artists since this music and the themes tends to habit a more gender fluid space associated with the LGBT (part of the reason why I like it cause I'm gay lol). Ultimately to me it doesn't really matter if he is straight or not, the music is incredible, it was just kind of surprising lmaooo"

"no problem and ofc yeah, she was one of the first queer people that I really looked up to and made me feel comfy in my own body as a queer person so it hit really hard but I take solace in the fact that I am not the only one she impacted in that way with her work"
On BaddieBaphomet's review of SOPHIE - OIL OF EVERY PEARL'S UN-INSIDES
"god when you talked about the day sophie died it brought me right back to that too cause that was also the very first thing I saw when I woke up. I remember back then it was the height of covid so I was sleeping in absurdly late so I woke up just to go to the washroom and checked my phone and that was the first thing I saw and I was so shocked to the core that I could not fall back to sleep whatsoever. Also glad you mentioned Um Um as that has become one of my fav songs of all time and is one of the only ones that is able to consistently make me tear up LOL. Also want to mention Lost Everything by A.G. Cook & EasyFun (and Remi Wolf on vocals) off of their latest album cause that was also dedicated to her, it's another one that really hits me to the core. Really loved this writeup thank you a ton, from one queer person to another <3"

"ik it's been months since this happened, but I still come back to this review because it so perfectly encapsulates how I feel about all of this, and it's written in a way that is much better than anything what I could have done lol. any time anyone asks me why I don't like kim anymore I just link them this review"
