I want to say people are too generous to this album but the user score is mostly right. What's weird to me are the track ratings; this album starts off weak as hell and it's only halfway through that this not only starts feeling like Death, but feeling like death metal in general. I'm glad it picked it up but this is by far their weakest output
This is what my parents acted like Nirvana sounded like when I was 9
Genuinely pretty impressive EP. Love the vocals here, always love some post punk. I do think it gets better in the second half
I'm genuinely really impressed I would not have expected a psychedelic rock album from YACHTY to genuinely be fucking great
Strange Things Will Happen is a generational song. This album is gorgeous, blends melancholy with beauty perfectly, but doesn't quite make my penis tingle like other albums in the genre
The production is always the standout quality of DOOM records, and it shines here, but this may genuinely be his best rapping on any record. These are the best features he's ever had, but his flows can hold their own without the incredible beats, and the bars at points are laugh out loud funny. This is a top 3 DOOM album ever, genuinely phenomenal
I'm confused on why my man decided to take a shit mid-record. I'm even more confused why him shitting was fucking fire
I almost gave a 100 on the first listen for the first time since Deathconsciousness, because this is one of the most well written, noisy, experimental hip hop records of all time. And to come out in 2002??? Jesus Christ
I had a banging headache before I put this on and it just vanished, hard recommend 👍
Guys the word bitch is not tuff
Please use the word whore like they did in outlast, it's much more vulgar ❤️
It feels longer than 48 minutes but it's a thrilling experimental hip hop album that's just as weird and off the wall as it is dark
This is a death grips album so weird even death grips fans were turned off and couldn't give it their usual 88 user score.
So naturally i think it's their best since money store
I'm assuming the 7 stages are the 7 stages of grief, and the vocals here are really selling the trauma and its quite effective. At points. I feel like being breakcore is sometimes this albums biggest strength and biggest weakness. The overwhelming abrasiveness drowning out her screams at some points works and feels like a ramping escalation of the suffering that's tormenting her. And sometimes it just sounds like standard breakcore, which isn't for me. The writing is nothing ... read more
You know what, the sludge metal influence is almost enough to make me forget I'm listening to deathcore
Almost
