The Stranger is one of the most fulfilling and uplifting albums of its decade. Some songs remind me of a lot of Songs in the Key of Life, which I consider one of the best albums of all time, so of course this deserves high praise. Speaking of Key of Life, this album evokes joy in me like that album does as well. Sure, this album is boomer-y, but that doesn’t stop it from being a masterpiece.
