One of my main gripes that I have with most jazz albums is that they don’t change much and usually sound like a regular ol’ jazz record, but with A Love Supreme, I can definitely say that this is different. Rambunctious noise is frequent here to keep the listener interested, every instrument is constantly poured at you with barely any breathing breaks, and not to mention that the drummer is going fucking INSANE. Like, the best way I can describe the drums in this album is psychotic. The album doesn’t really calm down until the fourth and final part Psalm, where it lets you sit back and contemplate the jazz greatness you just heard. This album is chaotic and I love it. I need more jazz like this.
