this is like a perfect medium rare steak, except it’s not steak, it’s a work of art, a masterpiece of the mind put into perfect crescendos, dynamics and climaxes that build their own story with every listen.
Didn’t know anything about this band until a couple months ago, and man is this album truly amazing. From the versatility of instruments that make this album limited to no category; to the mind boggling lyricism and themes by Isaac Wood, which accompanies the instrumentals so damn well. Of course it’s saddening to hear of Isaac’s leave, yet I think even without him, BC NR can continue their path of genre-bending greatness.
Loved this collaboration a lot. Ka’s lyricism and Animoss’ production style paired up with the theme of Greek Mythology and Jason’s Argonauts, really made me fall in love with this versatile and soothing album.
Some tracks felt a bit rushed. But it held on to the overall narrative of an intriguing political rap album. Definitely one of the Joey’s best works.
Every instrumental was something unique and different from the last. Also R.I.P. Steez, the biggest what could’ve been in Hip Hop.
first time listening to this artist and most likely won’t be my last. I love the variety of sounds and beats on each track which truly bring out the grooviness of the album. That being said, some of the more “atmospherical” sounds seem to just be a copy and paste from every other chill/house album ever created. Yet needless to say, this is an awesome album.
