Clairo's debut didn't leave me with much. It had its moments, but it wasn't too far in either direction in terms of quality. Sling, on the other hand, is great. With production handled by Jack Antonoff (who's in the middle of a great run himself), Clairo herself has improved in every way that matters. Her vocals are better, her songwriting is noticeably stronger, and she herself is more mature than she was on her first LP. Really great work and I'm excited to see what she does next.
