A lot of bangers, especially in the beginning of the album. There’s a lot of dance vibes in here with some good ballads mixed in too, overall it’s pretty solid.
A fantastic album that displays top tier storytelling. While it may take a minute to get adjusted to the abstract feel, the grooves are there. The tales of these two supervillains are a must-hear for sure.
An amazing jazz record that displays immense talent in both technical and lyrical ability. You can sit down and listen to all the technicalities of this album and hyperanalyze it but at the same time you can sit back and chill to it, the range (jazz-wise) is incredible.
This album is a masterpiece. The storytelling, the beats, the features, and just the soul put into it. Good Kid M.A.A.D. City is amazing.
I can really feel the dedication in this album. This was a long-term project, something to look forward to for a long time, and J Cole makes it known here.
Good album for sure. Thorns is on the track to be great, but I would say that they need to develop just a little more originality. I love it, but it almost feels too much like Metallica and Megadeth. Other than that (and the equalizing, I feel like there should be a bit more bass in the mix) I feel that this album is pretty well done. The last three songs were definitely my favorites.
Raw, punchy, aggressive, and ready to tear some heads off. This album gives an amazing feel, and is a great first album for Rage. Bombtrack is an amazing opener that really sets the tone for this album. It screams “F*ck the system,” and I’m all here for it.
Holy peak. This album is absolutely amazing. There are zero misses, and I mean zero. The bass on this album is absolutely amazing, and manages to shine in every song. The crunchy but satisfying vocal harmonies provide a dark tone that lingers throughout the album, giving us a sorrowful feel that is perfect. And “Swing On This” comes out of nowhere at the end in a whole different mood but manages to keep the same energy as the rest of the album in a perfect way. I love Jar of Flies ... read more
It’s a good debut album, and overall it is a pretty compelling album. Definitely does a good job at setting the tone for AiC, especially with how much Layne’s vocals shine. There are some weaker moments in this album, and I wouldn’t say it’s their best, but overall, it is a good album that has earned its place.
Hybrid Theory is an amazing album, and better yet, a perfect debut for a band like Linkin Park. The combination of hip-hop with the scratches and samples plus the metal elements with heavy guitar riffs and loud drums makes this album one worth listening to. I loved this album so, and it is definitely one I would recommend to anyone. Hybrid Theory is one for the ages.
Awesome album, absolutely brutal. There is some weird stuff on this album, I cannot lie, and there are some CRAZY transitions (most notably the one from Suicide Note Pt. 1 to Suicide Note Pt. 2) Overall though, it’s a pretty stinkin good album.
Wow! This one was awesome! The synergy between Chester and Mike is genuinely unmatched, along with Chester’s amazing vocal range and screams, which are really put on display here. There were a couple really sudden switchups that caught me off guard, but nothing that I would call “bad.” Overall a great album.
