This reminds me so much of middle school and loving life. Also the production on here is dope.
I have a good amount of these songs blocked on Spotify because I genuinely think their the lowest her music gets besides rock music I suppose.
brash and nostalgic, this album has an undeniable perfect mix of posh but trashy and sleazy pop, has a more delicate ending than I was expecting. I think I wanted to be punched in the face the whole time.
edit: after bottoming a few more times and also just becoming smarter and cuntier i have now learned that the later half of this album has lyric content that is tew good and the production never lets up… clearly the album of the summer. Hard to see anything having the same intoxicating ... read more
This one is decent and slightly more experimental for them but I'm lovin it, the longer songs grow and repeat with a jarring sense of emotion, and the use of glitched piano and other instruments adds a allure to this project that the other certainly don't have
So far this one is my favorite, a great and relaxed energy permeates through this record and its minimalist repetitive nature is adorable. I am simply in love.
These guys are slowly becoming my favorite band with each release i've listened to.
This one specifically has a great use of drone and primitive guitar I cant enough of. Stanley and Alice Lake are fucking awesome songs. Great stuff.
this one i feel like has their most post punk sounding stuff and I do really dig it, the use of piano is also really great... honestly I think the only con of this project is its harder to sit through in full because it is their longest and has more filler than most of their work. Still though some of my favorite and personal nominees for their best songs are on this great album!
I really like this one, got in on vinyl special colored edition. It sounds incredible…
everybody is 100% right this is her best single and all around endeavor. One of her longest songs too and soooo much easier to listen to.
loving it, super off the page, it has such a unique ability on each full length track to switch between drenched black metal and some really catchy avant-garde passages that often get stuck in my mind. I Wish I Was Dead, Winter'll Soon Be Over, Shout on, Children, Deep River and Shall I Die are some of the most innovatively catchy songs I've ever heard.
Not bad but very very strange even for them, the highlights definitely are in the instrumentation and atmosphere, and the lower points are mostly due to a disliking for vocal deliveries. otherwise the songwriting here is actually really fun. Badtimers is a standout for sure.
Most straightforward the band gets but has a distinctly brutalist sound that the cover matches.
sounds fucking plagued with sickness, and has a wonderful groove despite featuring very gnarly vocals. LOVE love love the sound on this one.
pretty lengthy for them but has a lot to love, it sounds so intertwined with electronics that are beautifully less abrasive and more nostalgic and dreamy. Manages to feel very chill despite having some intense vocal deliveries. I particularly enjoy the way they are mixed into every song.
I fucking love this album, every single song is a fucking hit in their discography... Ain't no thief is their best song n I wanna hear someone utter otherwise.
