Riley S. LeFevre dropped his first album Thee american dream on June 30, 2023. It was my first experience with LeFevreFever's music. And boy, oh boy, what a journey it has been. He has bangers, songs that bring tears to your eyes, and everything in between. The only reason this isn't a 100 is because he's gotten even better!

so this is the first lupe album i've listened to front to back, i listen to songs such as daydreamin, kick push, and mural already. i'm a sucker for short albums and this was no exception, it did everything it needed to without overstaying its welcome. i will have to relisten because there is a LOT i missed lyrically. my only complaint would be that sometimes for my taste the beats don't have enough going on, but that is more a personal vendetta than a genuine critique. i'd ... read more

it was good, but was it worth five years of waiting?
there is a lot to like about this album, most of the tracks are very well written and executed smartly. i have two main issues, unnecessary runtime and questionable features, or on some songs lack thereof.
first, the runtime. some songs take a few minutes for travis to cook, for instance my eyes. the end is genuinely amazing, but will i be listening to the first two minutes every time the song comes on just to get there? probably not. ... read more
