incredibly consistent midwest emo, need to relisten but probably close to if not on par with american football
imagine,, peace and homeostasis on a mountain top wearing robes and a shaved head. you are unfazed as you stand at the top and look off into the sunset. that is this album.
Good shit freddie also Uncle alc making some engaging beats for the first time in history π₯Άπ₯Ά(joke)
good stuff JÄY-Z, now don't make another album like you said you would and everything is gonna be alright ππππ
this one is a weak link in peggy's discog but its chill because peggy is just good at making songs
fav songs: istitmbiiwa, SIN MIEDO, New Black History, vulgar display of power, JPEGULTRA!
Unpopular opinion but the charisma on this album is nowhere near as strong as on The Low End Theory, which is strange because I feel like Phife and Tip exchanging bars is what makes ATCQ special. I just feel like a lot of the rapping on the album is forced. Maybe this is a misinterpretation, but it wouldn't be too far fetched considering ATCQ did have some underlying tensions around this time (and continued to until they broke up).
I live a boring ass life but this album making me feel like I'm the shit
yup this is basically a perfect album, besides that one song where there's like 6 min of cell death
sounds like kylie minogue if kylie was actually good
fav songs: Killing Time, Death & Romance, Angel on a Satellite
Guys... am I wrong for thinking... Where Ya Get Ya Coke From is like... the best song on the entire album? Should I seek guidance from a fellow music reviewer or is it ok to have unique opinions?
edit: the remaster of where ya get ya coke from is ass bro what happened to peggy
If I publically say that Common is one of the greatest rappers of all time, I will be flashbanged by a wall of nerd emojis
This album is probably the reason why Yasiin was given the most prestigious role one can possibly achieve, of playing Super Mr. Superhero in an episode of Yo Gabba Gabba
yeah this album is actually pretty good (considering it's a house album). relistening made me realise how good the production and song structures are, and when the sounds they chuck in work, they work very well
I think in many places Frank nails the Blonde aesthetic. I also think in many places the tracklist falls a lot. The minimal sound makes it much more intimate if you want to connect with Frank, but personally I wasn't really invested into Frank in the first place. Good music if you are invested though
