Oh boy this year sure sucks huh

Overall Average Score: 65.58

Black Country, New Road - For the first time
1.
100
This is just as good as you've heard, maybe better actually...and yeah its the hip indie album we all listen to this year before forgetting about it by next year okay.
Billie Eilish - Happier Than Ever
2.
100
Not quite as good as knack 2 but close enough
Silk Sonic - An Evening with Silk Sonic
3.
100
I could make a top 9 bangers of the year and it'd just be this album
Taylor Swift - Red (Taylor's Version)
4.
100
Red Remastered Definitive Deluxe Ultimate HD Edition (Remastered)
Olivia Rodrigo - SOUR
5.
100
This album goes hard if you're 16...
I am 16
Wolf Alice - Blue Weekend
6.
95
Sometimes music just sounds amazing
Weezer - OK Human
7.
95
Weezer make an album where they throw out their guitars...BUT, they replace them with an orchestra. Fucking brilliant
Little Simz - Sometimes I Might Be Introvert
9.
90
Damn yall were not kidding
Imagine Dragons - Mercury - Act 1
10.
90
Imagine dragons imagined good music then made it
Creeper - American Noir
11.
90
More ambitious and interesting than the last record, Creeper continue living up to their potential and then some, can't wait to see what's next
Limp Bizkit - STILL SUCKS
12.
90
Limp Bizkit Still Bangs
Kero Kero Bonito - Civilisation II
14.
89
This band is bafflingly good to me for some reason, they're so good and I don't get why or how but all of their stuff slaps
Godspeed You! Black Emperor - G_d's Pee AT STATE'S END!
15.
89
Yeah...predictably so this album is amazing. Who saw this coming?
Halsey - If I Can't Have Love, I Want Power
16.
88
Damn, this album kinda really came out of nowhere, def blew my expectations for what Halsey could do
SUNDAYS - Inner Coasts
17.
87
Don't sleep on this, probably gonna be the best indie folk album of 2021...unless taylor swift drops another indie folk sounding record this year that is
Spellling - The Turning Wheel
18.
85
Ye it's great...I especially loved that one song ugh...it was called like...y'know it went something like...
fuck
Gojira - Fortitude
19.
85
Gojira is one of those bands that just sorta lives up to expectations for me, they never disappoint but neither do they ever surprise, though will say that this is the closest they've gotten to From Mars to Sirius levels of quality for me, not as good but closer than their other albums imo
King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard - L.W.
20.
80
Screw you guys this was much better than K.G.
Foo Fighters - Medicine at Midnight
21.
80
Screw you guys this was the fun rock album we all needed this year.
The Killers - Pressure Machine
22.
80
A pretty nice change of pace for the killers tbh
Adeem The Artist - Cast Iron Pansexual
23.
80
Honestly only checked it out cuz Spectrum Pulse gave it a 9, it's a pretty great country album though. The songwriting was a real standout on here
Dee Gees - Hail Satin
24.
75
oh well who cares it's fun, nobody asked or needed it obvs...but its here and its kinda fun lol
Ringo Starr - Zoom In
25.
75
Ringo unironically sounds better than he has in the last few decades on this EP, also the first song actually really hit me emotionally and idk how that happened but man I almost cried.
Royal Blood - Typhoons
26.
70
A bit safe but still pretty enjoyable and fun
Clairo - Sling
27.
70
good but imo there's 0 highlights or memorable moments on it, pleasant while its on but forgotten seconds after its done, oh well
black midi - Cavalcade
28.
70
Pretentious garbage...good pretentious garbage, but pretentious garbage nonetheless
The Antlers - Green To Gold
29.
70
I have no idea what to say about this, it's pretty chill ig
Lana Del Rey - Blue Banisters
30.
70
Slightly more interesting, a bit more pleasant to listen to, none the less impressively forgettable
Lana Del Rey - Chemtrails Over the Country Club
31.
70
Lana Del Rey makes a good but not really great album that people either LOVE to death or pretend is what's wrong with the world or America or something...man who gives a shit about that just try and enjoy the fucking music for once.
Dream Theater - A View From The Top Of The World
32.
70
More Dream Theater, but you see Dream Theater is good so this is also good if not a bit uninteresting.
The Pretty Reckless - Death by Rock And Roll
33.
70
I shouldn't like this as much as I do but oh well this was fun idc, throwback boomer rock can be good too, sometimes.
Adele - 30
34.
65
Like Solar Power this is a decent record that just makes the artist a lot less interesting to me. Though there's way more good songs on this album than solar power even if as a whole its kinda boring.
Greta Van Fleet - The Battle at Garden's Gate
36.
60
They're taking steps towards making a great album! Very small steps though.
Hayley Williams - FLOWERS for VASES / descansos
37.
60
I should like this more than I do but man outside of one song I forgot everything on this album :(
Steven Wilson - THE FUTURE BITES
39.
58
The first time me not liking an album made me more of a fan of an artist...Keep it up Steven, this shit is pretty interesting even if it wasn't really for me and I truly appreciate the experimentation here. Just didn't quite pan out on this. Still could have been much worse.
Mechina - Siege
40.
58
This came out?
Liz Phair - Soberish
41.
55
Perfect example of a late era sorta awkward but also really forgettable album from an artist that peaked decades ago
Kanye West - Donda
42.
53
So glad after a year of delays and an out of nowhere release... people finally managed to shut the fuck up about this album after a single week of it being out, wasn't worth any of the hype or wait but at least Jail goes hard so its not THAT bad
Porter Robinson - Nurture
43.
50
So much hype...So many filler tracks
Evanescence - The Bitter Truth
44.
50
After 10 years of not releasing a new album, Evanescence come back and prove that...they're still Evanescence.
Weezer - Van Weezer
45.
45
Isn't it funny how it is to be a Weezer fan, one moment you swear things will be alright and the band is going to be great again then another moment they drop something like this, the thing this album makes me ask is how many chances is enough? Weezer have gotten so many chances and excuses for so many bad albums but is the promise of another great album that'll eventually release really worth going through all the bad shit?

yes shut up
Serj Tankian - Elasticity
46.
45
Maybe SOAD shouldn't make new music?
Well they should actually, remember the songs they released last year? Those were awesome. This isn't though, Serj dude it's 2021 we don't need a song called Your Mom in 20 fucking 21.
Normandie - Dark & Beautiful Secrets
47.
45
BOOOOOOORIIIIINNNNNG
Xiu Xiu - Oh No
48.
40
I don't get it, sorry :(
Coldplay - Music of the Spheres
49.
40
Why Coldplay...why :(
Justin Bieber - Justice
50.
40
BOOOOOOR- actually it has a few decent cuts between the insanely misguided MLK parts and the extremely boring and bland pop songs. Still...BOOOOORIIIING

Greta Van Fleet's steps to making a great album are so big. They just might get to it by 2030.
