In Absentia

Finally getting around to one of the most requested albums and bands I've ever gotten both irl and online and yeah, this is a truly great album.

Beautiful blend of prog rock with elements of alt metal, acoustic singer songwriter, some ambience and electronica, and even a hint of psychedelia at points. Expertly played and arranged, surprisingly catchy in places, and special mention has to go to the IMMACULATE production and mixing courtesy of the legendary Steven Wilson. Now I get why he's done so many remasters for classic acts like Yes.

I think this one's only gonna grow on me, but for now, 8.5
