Took me many listens to really get it. Thought it was a little too corny at first, but soon learned to love what Brian and Dave were going for. It's just so sad that we'll never hear any of it live. Ended too soon. :(

After watching Fantano's review on Cupid Deluxe, and listening to the album over and over, I came to the realization that Dev Hynes must have hurt Fantano as a child. Either that, or Fantano has no taste in music.
Raised my rating over the years. Sure does grow on you.
Tell me you're racist without telling me you're racist. The ridiculous comparisons to Mitski are purely due to her ethnicity and not the music. You wouldn't be comparison the two artists if not for their shared East Asian ancestry.
One of the best album I have ever heard. What an absolute banger from start to finish.
Starts off strong (Away From the Castle is superb), but the rest of it sounds like soft rock from the 80's/90's. And that's not a good thing.

I watched and read a lot of interviews on the album, so perhaps knowing the context behind the songs helps me appreciate it more (ex. Lace Your Shoes being about the love for this kids, Sun Hasn't Left is about the Pacific Northwest burning from all the forest fires, Transmitting about his borderline schizophrenia)."

"As a MM fan, I'm sorry to hear you don't like it. I think it truly is their best LP since Moon (No Ones First being excellent). I'll never understand people who tell their supposed favorite bands to "throw in the towel." I'd hate to see Isaac stop creating and playing music. Even if you don't like or love most of what he makes, surely there is something there that gets your attention, and if there isn't, then maybe you aren't as big as a fan as you think."
