JISOO - AMORTAGE

It's a decent effort

Jisoo has always stood out to me from the band because her vocal texture was very different from the rest of the girls, and I always liked her parts in the songs. In this EP, that is the case, but the lyrics are good but the production is very dated. It seems more like a teaser project than a project with all-round depth. As of now, Rosie is MILES ahead and we are going to have to wait a little bit more for Lisa and Jennie.

LISA - Alter Ego

It was alright, I expected more though

The singles had me divided, loving the first two and then not liking Moonlight Floor the least bit (just ruins a classic, I’m sorry). But Born Again made my expectations a little too high for this album (shouldn’t have, cuz it was Raye’s song).

Anyway, coming to this record, it has its hits. I see the vision and the production was very well handled by some industry big names. The features did their thing, Future, Megan and Doja came ... read more

Lorde - Virgin

Yeah this ain’t for me

Nothing against Lorde, I just don’t think she’s made groundbreaking stuff after Melodrama and it’s best that we leave her in 2017. When I heard the verse on Girl, so confusing (Remix), I was really looking forward to this record and the rollout has been no short of a hypetrain, with Ella calling this record ‘her brat’ but it ends up sounding like undercooked demos of Melodrama era.

Truthfully speaking, this album is not that good. It ... read more

Various Artists - F1 The Album

Eh, I liked the score better

The score by Hans Zimmer was SO MUCH BETTER, but there’s some good songs here.

twenty one pilots - Blurryface

Wow, this album has aged horribly

I know, it has its banger, Ride is still bumpy on the radio whenever it comes but honestly, this sound has aged like milk. It’s 2015, EDM is popping off and everyone wants to mush different genres together to make some slop and this kind of feels like that.

Only redeemed by some thematic concepts that I really liked, makes the record cohesive and tight-knit but holy shit this was a tough listen, especially on my headphones. I get why people like this ... read more

Juice WRLD - The Party Never Ends

Should not exist

Honestly, posthumous albums are weird to me, most of the times they’re a cash grab and unfortunately that has been the case for most of Juice and X’s discography and more artists who passed away. At least, according to his estate, this is his last album, which is good. Just let the man rest.

Coming to the record itself, it isn’t really any good. Most of these are old leaks terribly mixed. The features are barely trying, although The Kid Laroi did a great ... read more

Taylor Swift - THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT

The Tortured Poets Department, arguably the most hyped album of this year But you all need to accept one fact, fan or not. This album was straight bs.

Not a single unique element in any song whatsoever, the production is so stale, every song sounded literally the same. Jack Antonoff needs to be locked outside the studio ong, it’s been too much of him recently 🙏🏻. This album felt like an aborted child of Midnights and Folklore (aborted being the keyword here). Just an overall ... read more

Playboi Carti - MUSIC

I’m not kidding when I say this is ASS

Like holy meatriding all over socials, you have no idea how good Carti was five years ago and this is such an obvious downgrade. It feels like he has tried to recreate WLR’s magic but he’s failed at it miserably. What WLR did was push the boundaries and current UG rappers are WAY ahead of Carti’s current stint. He is so washed, the production and all the features massively carry whatever’s left of this. Also Kendrick being ... read more
