very refreshing, has it's repetitive moments but it's more interesting than others in the same genre. i'm a sana sana hater turned lover
hidden gem i unfortunately never paid attention to when it came out, perfect for summer
production goes stupid
edit: originally gave this an 89 but wow this ages amazingly
literally the only thing i've had on repeat for the past week, perfect for spring and summer iktr
Severely underrated!! whilst this is just an album of scattered singles, glass grasslands outshines the rest and is so unique compared to the rest. if anything, listen to track 15 it will change your life.
my first full listen to this was when i was kinda tipsy walking around tokyo late at night so my thoughts might be skewed,, but it's a classic that will transport you to another world. it's a must-listen for those getting into city pop.
Whilst releasing this quite late compared to other city pop classics, Cindy captures the essence and initial intrigue I had in the genre in such a playful manner. She adds a western spin/R&B elements to this, almost reminding me of Janet Jackson's work on Janet. Definitely a different vibe compared to most traditional works in the genre; but Cindy washes the competition.
