Severely underrated!! whilst this is just an album of scattered singles, glass grasslands outshines the rest and is so unique compared to the rest. if anything, listen to track 15 it will change your life.

鈴木宏司 [Hiroshi Suzuki] - Cat
83

"jazz hitler is gone post peak japanese jazz fusion"

亜蘭知子 [Tomoko Aran] - 浮遊空間 [Fuyū-kūkan]
87

my first full listen to this was when i was kinda tipsy walking around tokyo late at night so my thoughts might be skewed,, but it's a classic that will transport you to another world. it's a must-listen for those getting into city pop.

Cindy - Angel Touch
92

Whilst releasing this quite late compared to other city pop classics, Cindy captures the essence and initial intrigue I had in the genre in such a playful manner. She adds a western spin/R&B elements to this, almost reminding me of Janet Jackson's work on Janet. Definitely a different vibe compared to most traditional works in the genre; but Cindy washes the competition.
